I put new tires(OEM replacements, don't remember specs now) on my Shadow last year and think I had around 7k on them before I sold the bike. They were still in good shape, and lots of rubber still left before reaching the wear indicators. I would say they will go 10k easily.

Fuck, as soon as I turned west onto 270 from 71 I knew I was getting my asked kicked. I was waiting to get sucked up into a funnel cloud. Tbone and Laura were ahead of me and got hit too, but they were smart enough to get off the highway earlier.
Everyone else make it home it okay?

Some one got wet
It was me. On 270 about a mile from Sawmill and the sanctuary of my garage, I got dumped on. flipped onthe hazards and rode on the berm the rest of the way. Could see about 3 feet in front me, rode with my feet out through some pretty damn deep puddles. What the fuck is it with me and heavy rains? This was almost as bad as the floods I hit in Louisiana last year.
I think I ruined my new Droid too.

you are so full of fail right now I should kill you....

Looking like I can make it, unless I can't.
I never know any more.
Oh, and for some reason, I've been not wearing gear more often lately. And, no, it's not because of the Harley. I think it's just some lingering thoughts of a quick death that were abundant during my marriage

Weird. I see more sportbikes around this part of Columbus. Although it might just be Dubguy on whatever bike he owns this week.

Yeah Tom - how about the ambulance coming off 270 at Cleveland Ave heading to St. Ann's? Lights and sirens blaring away and they merged right in with us!! LOL!! Who gets out of the way for who???
I was thinking the same thing. Glad the ambulance driver was smart enought take advantage of the stopped traffic and merge and weave with us.

It is pretty amazing. I remember seeing the real thing in DC when I was a young kid. I didn't really understand what was going on, but my dad(a Vietnam vet) explained to me a lot of the people there were mourning a lost friend and what all the names meant.
I've heard that the traveling one has meant a lot to people that couldn't make the trip to DC.

Son of a.... I'm the motherfucking repost king lately. It's a done deal?? Already reached max number.... No longer valid.
This whole thread is fail, way to be awesome guys.

Crap, another Art riding a Harley. You gotta go, man, that will get confusing.
Nah, welcome, it's cool here and hope to see you around.
-
I can probably do that. You do know a ride to Hocking will consist of you riding alone and me 10 minutes behind you though, right?
-
I should be in. I think I've decided to stick around town this weekend to catch up on crap.

Don't some brands have more detergents than others? I don't thnk I've gotten bad gas, but I vehicles tend to run better on certain brands, Exxon being the best. ???
I usually use Shell and Speedway though, they are the two closest and most convenient to home and work.

Melissa and I rolled up late' date=' it was her public debut of the new bike, she's still learning the bike,
lets just say by the time we got there I [b']really needed a drink!
But bless her heart, I got her to take the highway home at night, that was a milestone!
Didn't bump into anyone except Strictly Streets and Moose.
She got a new bike? Nice. What? I liked the Suzuki.

sure,why not?

The jacket is for sure worth trying to save. except for the black gone, it is still in great shape. I have Doc Martens Wonder Balsam and Dubbin if that might help protect it.
Some info that might be useful, might not.

I have some pics of you guys playing, and my husband got some video with our HD cam. I will try to get the pics up for you soon. Great show!
Thanks!
Can't wait to see the pics and video, I appreciate that a lot.

Anybody else?
J, do you want to this and then ride up to the races in Canton for the day?
-
I will be here Sat, 1 of my MX friends is suppose to bring out his Speedway bike for it's shakedown run. To many cops & drunks on the roads most Holiday weekends for my taste.
That's crazy, that's what I did last Memorial Day. Forgot about it, it was pretty cool. It's a possibility.

You won't be lonely.
Oh crap.
-
I've been eying Spruce Knob in West Virginia.
Looks pretty cool, but I'm kinda in a people-party kind of mood, not lonely ass-rape country.
We're heading that way in a few weeks on the DTC ride I believe though, could be a side trip ???

The weather is looking good for the long weekend as of now. I'm game for a road trip on the bike. Anything exciting going on anywhere?
I'll go 400-600 miles one way from Columbus, maybe more for something really cool.
Give me some ideas. I'll go solo; with company; day trip, overnight, 2 nights; doesn't matter. I just don't want to sit around all weekend at home bored.
Cheap is good, but I don't feel like camping this weekend, so a crackhouse hotel is acceptable.

So I guess you are not riding to FL with me now?![:(](https://ohmo.co/uploads/emoticons/default_frown.gif)
If I wasn't going to Florida that weekend, I would do this for sure. The hotel in St C. is 3 minutes from my dad's house too.
