Me either. What I like about Dave is that yes, he is a postwhore, but he is entertaining. Think of all the threads and comments that have related to him over the past few months. He is usually pretty thick skinned about the shit that is given to him as well. I've only met him once, and he seems pretty cool. I think he just really excited about riding and life in general. Can't really give him a hard time about that.

Luckily, my garage and the work parking lot that I can see out my window. I guess I use the killswitch because its easy. I usually hit it and just coast in to my spot. Dave, glad you're able to get it taken care of, hopefully it won't cost too much.

I don't worry too much about losing mine, if I can't find it, it's always in in the ignition with the electric ON. I'm a dumbass. I've killed two batteries, and had to charge them too many times. Luckily I usually do it at home or work. I have done it out a few times, but either caught it or someone else noticed and told me. Thieves will love me one day.

I only have one for mine, keep meaning to go get another but forget. Maybe this will motivate me to remember.

Dude, I hope the rest of your life goes a lot smoother than the experiences with your bike. If not, I think I would curl up in bed and never go outside. Sorry to hear that, hope you can get it replaced.

Hocking and Mohican are the probably the most popular and an easy drive from Columbus. For some less touristy areas, try Paint Creek or Lake Vesuvius. Both are fairly picturesque, and not too bad of a drive from Columbus. At Lake Vesuvius, you can camp on the cliff that overlooks the lake, it's pretty cool. If you want a cabin and plan on fishing, try Seneca Lake or Piedmont Lake, both are off of 70 in eastern Ohio. Are you you keeping your dirt bike? If so, do you really need the dual sport? A little bit more of a pain to haul when you want to ride trial, but like a few others have said the SV 650's are really nice bikes if you can go a bit past your budget. Pretty close to the Gladius you like. I bet if you got a street bike you would be on the road more for a while anyway.

Anyone here from the Ohio Valley(Wheeling area, Bellaire, St. Clairsville, Martins Ferry, etc). I grew up there and was just seeing if there is anyone I might know lurking around. Also, does anyone ever ride the roads around the Wheeling area? I know Hocking and Coshocton seem like the hot spots. I'm not real familiar with the Coshocton area, so I can't really talk about it, but I always thought the roads in the Ohio Valley made most of Hocking look fairly tame. Not really my interest on the bike , but growing up I used to love cruising around on the back roads in an old beater that we could whip around turns and not care about. If anyone is looking for some nice twisties not too far out of the way, Check the area out. I suggest ST RT 88 in West Virginia from Wheeling to Bethany, hop on 67, and then 2 for a nice ride down the river. There are some ass puckering turns on 88 and 67, even in a cage. Takes maybe an 1-1.5 hours in a car, but then you can cross back into Ohio for some more. There are also a shit ton more of back roads in that area that I am not familiar with, some going into the PA, I think the Avella area. In Ohio, try 147 and 149. These were our beer cruises in high school. No cops anywhere, pretty twisty, nice scenery and not a ton of traffic. These are low population areas. 250, 800 and 9 can be pretty cool as well, and I know coming from the south, 7 is a nice casual, scenic route with a few twisties. Just some suggestions for anyone that may be looking for some new rides and may not be familiar with the area. It's pretty run down now and doesn't get a lot of tourists. The casino and dog race track in Wheeling is always fun as well.

Man, today I was mowing the grass and hit a bump, and the mower rolled back on two wheels and scared the shit out of me. I can't wait to try it again. Just fucking with you, Dave, I think you're pretty cool and I always enjoy your posts, the hundred that there are.

You better believe it, being married, it would be wrong of me to put any effort into it, but if they come to me, what else am I supposed to do? Just kidding, I am good boy and a good husband , but it is always nice to get some attention from some cute girls.

Most of the people I know could care less what people ride. I wave to everyone that I see, but sometimes I fall right in between that state of mind in which I'm concentrating on the road enough to be in a zone, and daydreaming enough that it is just me on the road and everything else are obstacles to get around. I ride a metric cruiser now, will I buy an HD? Sure, there a few models that I love, I almost bought one this year, and I'm still thinking heavily on the Night Train for this winter. Wold I buy a sportbike? Probably, if I had the cash to have it as a second bike. Even then it would be something like a naked SV. I like sportbikes, just don't feel that they are for me. I ride with 3 guys quite often that all ride sportbikes. I just enjoy the road, and I'll always be friendly to anyone that is friendly to me.

Hmm. I usually just get moms in minivans looking at me forlorn and hopeful, wishing they were on the back of my bike instead of a van with screaming kids. Sometimes at stoplights, I get the squids on sportbikes revving to redline like I would actually race them. Most of the time I ignore them, but very seldom and if they don't have on a helmet, I'll let my very loud pipes scream and give give them a nice backfire to let their ears ring a bit. When I had my Mustang GT, the import guys would pull up up to me all the time wanting to race, especially the guys in Eclipses. I'm not a racer, I try to stay under the radar with the law so I can get away with more important vices, but sometimes some douchebag would catch me at the right time and I would give it a go. I don't think that one ever even came close to me, and I'm not that good of a racer and the GT was mostly stock. Chickon2, likes others have been saying, it's for sure a way to get your attention. A girl on a bike is pretty hot, so guys let the machismo loose to try to get you to notice them and show off a bit. Kinda like the construction worker whistling thing, and we all know how well that works.

Okay, this formula confuses me a bit. maybe I'm interpreting it wrong because I ride differently than most of you guys. My bike is slow, heavy, and I rarely exceed 5-10 miles over the speed limit. If I'm reading this formula right, If I'm on a 55 mile road, lets say I'm doing 65 MPH. I come to a corner where the suggested speed is 40. You seriously would speed up to 75 to take the corner? Am I reading this wrong? Or this would you already be doing 100 or mph and slow down to 75? If this is correct and people are riding like this, is it a possibility that it is why we see so many accidents? Please clarify this for me.

It did seem a little much with all of us trying to go at once. We were swerving around cages and each other, and while I didn't feel unsafe, it was for sure a big clusterfuck. Circuit City sounds like a plan.

I ride a lot, but it seems like the miles don't add up. I ride nearly every day, at minimum at least to work which is a grand total of 3 round trip miles. All of my evening trips last about 2 or three hours, but most of them are scenic and relaxing and when I look a the odometer, not many miles. No time to take a lot of weekend trips, being busy at work and married kills that. I think last year I rode about 4000 miles. I guess I need to just make some time to ride longer distances, which I really enjoy and the whole reason I have a cruiser.

I really wasn't a big fan of the Fury at first, but anything flat black catches my eye and I for sure like this. While I realize most of you think the of the RC51 a better bike, obviously this guy didn't. To each his own. Maybe he was tired of sportbikes, maybe it was junk. We'll never know.

Looks cool from what I can see, can't wait to see the finished product. I really like colored rims on sport bikes. Has anyone ever had even one slightly negative thing to say about Paul(AttackPainter)? I know he hooked me up and did a fantastic job, and every one else that has used them has been extremely happy. If you live in the Columbus area, want your bike painted, and know about Attack Painter, it is insane not to use him. The only reason not to is eventually he is going to be too busy to keep up if he keeps doing great work.

I smoked Marlboro reds for 14 years, quit for a year and started smoking cigars, and yes, I do inhale no matter how uncouth it may be. I smoke little filtered Captain Blacks every day now(just a substitute for cigarettes). When I smoke something good, I like pretty much like anything Drew Estate puts out, especially the Natural lines, particularly the Dirts. For a good cheap smoke I like the Drew Estate La Vieja Habanas. I still love Acid Blondies and any of the blue line, and the blue Krush Classics, I think I just like the smoothness of the Connecticut Shade wrapper. I also like some of the purple line, but hate the yellows. Drew Estate also had one called Mother Earth that I liked, but I haven't seen it for a few years. I also like the Hoyo Excalibers quite a bit, and of course the classics by Padron, Arturo Fuentes, Romeo Y Julieta, etc. Barclays sells some cheapies that I can't remember the name of that I enjoy, especially when I know I am going to be around people that will want one and not know any better. I'm not really that picky. It's really not so much about the brand for me, but the shape and the wrapper type. Because I do inhale and tend to smoke fast and smoke often, I prefer smaller shapes and lengths a corona or robusto. It also kind of depends what mood I'm in for the wrapper, like I mentioned before I love connecticut shades, but I also enjoy a full bodied maduro as well, especially with a glass of Captain Private Stock. (I pretty much drink rum like it's water, abou the only alcohol I'll drink anymore). As for lighting, match or torch unless it's a real cheapie. I'm not a big fan of cutters, I use a punch. It's clean and gives a good draw. If I forget my punch, more often than not I would rather poke a hole with a key or knife than use a cutter. Sacrilege, right? It just works better for me.
