That's why we post a route so the really fast guys can go out front and ride their own pace. Stating a ride will be brisk is meaningless because it means different things to different people. I want everyone to be entertained riding at their own safety level which is at a different pace for everyone. This many miles on these roads with this group shouldn't be tried if you are a newer rider because that will just frustrate everyone. I have eliminated two of the route options and have eliminated 555 and 536 plus moved the start time back an hour to accommodate time constraints and evening activities. Are there any objections?
-
Up until these statements I was entertained by you two but this is just uncalled for. Scooters rule and if you are too insecure to realize that maybe I need to reevaluate my estimation of your manlyhood.

Fuck you, you little shit!

Motherfucker, it sucks having work, I missed this whole thing as it was playing out. Looks like it would have been fun to join in. -
Where the hell did that epic thread go!?!?!? Ah!!!!!!!
Uncle Punk replied to Casper's topic in Website Info
Isn't there a thread discussing that behavior? Do we have new Ranting & Raving rules or do the general board rules still apply? Can we go back to Ranting & Raving threads not counting toward our post counts? I have way too many posts. -
Everyone is welcome and please see the first post for some general expectations for group riding, that I will be getting to soon. Basically, please be willing to go 70 MPH between curves and bring a bike that is in good repair, no lunch stop is planned and gas stops should be brief. I would go and just do 260 and 255 both ways if it were just me but I like to make routes that give our northern guys the chance to get to see some different roads. All of 260 is done now but the lines weren't put down everywhere last weekend. They were paving some of 26 when we were down there and if any road work gives us trouble we can change the route easily since you really can't find a bad road down there.
-
That's too bad, 260 is 36 miles long and freshly paved. It's twice as long as 255 and every bit as fun, plus we are doing the section on 83 between 78 and 146 that I know you like.
-
You need to hang out here more, this discussion started a month before the ride. http://www.ohio-riders.net/showpost.php?p=520215&postcount=529 Now you have to make it.
-
Look you trouble maker, I don't want to see you, I.P. or SamBusa in my thread messing it all up, this isn't a Harley thread so be nice to me. If you guys get this moved to ranting & raving I will end up riding by myself because no one will be able to find it.
-
Just started? What are you talking about? I'm sorry to do this for a Saturday but it gives us Sunday to make it up if it rains. Would leaving an hour earlier be something anyone is interested in to make it home earlier? I checked the time it takes to do the routes and it looks like the big route won't leave us enough time to get the ride done in daylight so maybe that route should go. I rode 260 this past weekend with the C.S.B.A. and it is a road we want to get to for this ride, it might be as good as 255 only longer.
-
You didn't faceplant because you were going too fast though it was the gravel that threw you down.
-
Are you referring to the M&G on the 24th?.................Not the same day. http://www.ohio-riders.com/showthread.php?t=61933

I have a safe spot you could park your car and trailer five miles from the original starting spot. It should take about an hour and ten minutes to get to that gas station plus or minus depending on the number of bikes that show up.
-
I don't mind at all I like riding with the C.O.R.E guys. I do have a request for you though. In the thread that started this you mentioned something about trailering to Millersburg. This is a very long route and time could get tight for daylight so I would prefer to eliminate another meeting spot. Can you meet us at the starting point? You are more than welcome to meet us at the Marathon on 39 between 83 & 60 since I can make that the first gas stop but I don't want to post a time for us to be there or leave there.
-
We will be leaving at 8:00 AM from 82 & 83 on July 31st or August 1st if rain cancels out the first date. Please be on time gassed up and ready to go at 8:00 AM. If you are late you can catch us cruising down 83 at about 70 MPH. I have posted the route so if the pace I am riding at is too slow for you feel free to take the lead just make sure to wait for us at the stops. I will be going about 70 MPH between curves and passing slower moving vehicles on double yellows. If that doesn’t sound like something you are willing to do please find another group to ride with. You should be riding the curves at your own pace no matter what speed that is, we all want to keep riding all day and not helping pick bikes out of ditches. If you are touching the center line exiting corners you are going too fast and riding unsafe, if anyone see’s someone riding unsafe they should confront them or let someone know. I will make a bike count when we start and at every stop, if you are going to leave early please let someone know ahead of time or at the next stop. Depending on the number of bikes showing up we may have a sweep rider doing the count. Please make sure your bike is in good repair. If you break down we will make sure you are safe but will not be waiting for help to arrive. Most people find their spot in the line naturally and if someone is on your tail let them by, we will be riding faster riders up front to slower riders in the back. Don’t follow the guy in front of you too closely; we are all going in the same circle so give everyone the same safety margin you would expect to get from someone whom you haven’t ridden with before. There is no planned lunch stop so pick up whatever you need at gas stops. I am posting planned gas stops so people can join in the ride but I will not wait at gas stops for people to show up. I will give my best case estimate on when we will be there but there are too many factors involved that can change our timing. I could plan times and wait but we wouldn’t be able to get these many miles in daylight. I will post links that people can use to see any of the gas stops and the route map. (See the end of this post for links.) Some people seem to have issues with seeing them in this post so I hope this will fix that problem for them. 452 miles 11 hours 03 minutes First gas stop Second gas stop Third gas stop Fourth gas stop Fifth gas stop Final gas stop Thanks to JCMathis for video of 260 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rWVEE1oYVBc 452 miles 11 hours 03 minutes http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=OH-82+E%2FElyria-Twinsburg+Rd%2FRoyalton+Rd&daddr=OH-39+W+to:OH-39+W+to:Main+St+to:Frazeysburg+Rd+to:OH-208+W%2FDresden+Adamsville+Rd+to:Underwood+St+to:OH-60+S%2FOH-60+Scenic+S%2FS+River+Rd+to:OH-376+S+to:W+Main+St+to:N+7th+St+to:OH-260+N+to:OH-800+N+to:OH-800+N+to:OH-7+N%2F5th+Ave+to:OH-800+S%2FMorrison+Ln+to:Park+Ave+to:OH-260+S+to:OH-78+W%2FWoodsfield+Rd+to:OH-83+N+to:Friendship+Dr+to:OH-83+S%2FOH-83+Scenic+S%2FUS-62+W+to:OH-82+W%2FElyria-Twinsburg+Rd%2FRoyalton+Rd&geocode=FRVodgIdYnMc-w%3BFYTQagId8N8d-w%3BFf4lawIdunQc-w%3BFR54ZwIdNq0c-w%3BFVYqZAIdrooc-w%3BFdYxZAIdfMsc-w%3BFbB8YQIdsMIc-w%3BFYpaXwIdlm4e-w%3BFbqRXgIdpm0f-w%3BFfj9XAIdoAQf-w%3BFa5uWQIdekIl-w%3BFeSuWwIdnOUo-w%3BFeRCXgIdHkkq-w%3BFWYbXgIdZmUq-w%3BFUqYXAIdGGAt-w%3BFYS5WwIduvEr-w%3BFfH9WgId0PIq-w%3BFaI6XQIdvjwo-w%3BFZ66XgIdShwm-w%3BFSTXXQIdP_gg-w%3BFYQ_YgIdyrog-w%3BFY0uagIdzPcd-w%3BFRVodgIdWnMc-w&hl=en&mra=ls&sll=40.3649,-81.489825&sspn=3.256225,8.421021&ie=UTF8&z=8 First gas stop http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=8438-8498+Ohio+39,+Millersburg,+OH+44654&daddr=&hl=en&geocode=CRm_srvkK3-kFf3QagIdr9wd-ykNCB8mtW03iDHWeARejRTjrg&mra=mi&sll=40.554366,-81.928911&sspn=0.001347,0.00283&g=40.554753,-81.92904&ie=UTF8&t=h&z=19 Second gas stop http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=39.943698,-82.000789&daddr=Zanesville,+OH&hl=en&geocode=%3BCVsWcbz2zBZhFflwYQId-JMc-ylt-9y2xO03iDHXKa3YIgUhkQ&mra=mi&mrsp=0&sz=19&sll=39.94372,-82.000108&sspn=0.001359,0.00283&ie=UTF8&t=h&z=19 Third gas stop http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=39.415924,-81.443987&daddr=Marietta,+OH&hl=en&geocode=%3BCRLbfGIAIF9dFThuWQIdBBkl-yktMsQM4cxJiDGV5OSRNSdiPQ&mra=mi&mrsp=0&sz=19&sll=39.415578,-81.444027&sspn=0.00137,0.00283&ie=UTF8&ll=39.415646,-81.443997&spn=0.00137,0.00283&t=h&z=19 Fourth gas stop http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=1300+Park+Avenue,+New+Matamoras,+OH+45767-6366+(Par+Mar+Stores)&daddr=&hl=en&geocode=CYxpFYrZsz9AFe3-WgIdcfIq-yEp7sqFQOutuA&mra=mi&sll=39.517889,-81.071398&sspn=0.001368,0.00283&ie=UTF8&t=h&z=19 Fifth gas stop http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=39.993273,-81.74154&daddr=New+Concord,+OH&hl=en&geocode=%3BCYWh3rjVJqAsFVRBYgIdf9Yg-yk_vEyhDMc3iDGoSSKJCkekUg&mra=mi&mrsp=0&sz=19&sll=39.993434,-81.741339&sspn=0.001601,0.003473&ie=UTF8&t=h&z=19 Final gas stop http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=OH-83+S%2FAvon+Lake+Rd&daddr=&hl=en&geocode=FROZcQId8tUc-w&mra=ls&sll=40.998895,-81.996452&sspn=0.001577,0.003473&ie=UTF8&t=h&z=19

Guns, man guns! I am working on a project for these guys http://www.ravenconcealment.com/ that will dramatically reduce their lead time, kind of like contract work but not really (Very hard to explain.) The project will give me 12 to 14 weeks worth of work and I hope something else shows up during that time.

This was a good thread but I have decided to stay out of it. I am back to work today after not working since February.
-
I was out riding yesterday and missed this. I have stuff to do today and hope this doesn't get closed before tonight. I will be backing up Justin's liberal comment with ones that aren't liberal. This could be fun.
-
Did anyone count the Miatas that went past us on 208 going the other direction? It seemed like about 30 of them.
-
I had a great time and got the chance to ride some roads that I have been ignoring while down in that part of the state. 260 is just as good of a road as 255, I can't believe more people don't talk about it, wow. It was nice meeting everyone and riding that many miles without worrying about anyone going down make the time very enjoyable. I hate to stop for lunch on rides but the place we stopped at was very nice and worth the stop. Thanks to all who were involved in organizing this ride it is much appreciated.

Jinx is going out for a short ride in the morning.

Just a heads up for anyone heading out to this. Pettibone road is closed going eastbound at the far east side of Glenwillow. If anyone has mapped out going through Oakwood and Glenwillow they might need to consider getting over to 91 & Pettibone with an alternate route. -
Oh yeah, for future reference do not post Pms publicly without permission from all parties involved. I certainly would have said yes in this circumstance but it's a good policy to follow in the future. I don't expect you to reply to this until later tonight because I know you have trouble posting from work, man would that piss me off.

You might also want to add how valuable an incentive this is from your personal experience. If worded correctly you might be able to add a premium to your asking price.

After sleeping on it I am really pissed at myself for losing the way I did. I guess experience teaches you and I will not lose the same way again if I ever do this again. Second sucks when the outcome is in your control. Damn you Justin for making me waste more time on another thing I don't have time for.
