  1. That thought has crossed my mind that's why I ride superior machinery to give me every advantage possible.
  2. If you've got more for speed riding that bike with those tires I got nothing for you. Us old guys are barely hanging on, these young kids are knocking at the door pretty hard. Every ride I go on the groups seem to have more and more very competent riders. It's kind of cool to see and the natural progression of things.
  3. Shut up bitch! From what I am able to understand of this situation is the weight penalty to the 848cc twins get won't change their performance because they are already over the minimum. It might change the 600cc I4s performance but not very negligible.
  4. I have seen that and at one time would have been real interested in doing it back when I was doing a lot of traveling when riding. I put 15K miles on a bike in 16 months and loved it. Right now I am more into riding the curvy back roads and that lake loop looks to be too much slab time for me. I may get back to that type of riding some day and give it a shot. I was made aware of that ride by one of the guys who participates in it a few years ago. I took a motorcycle scene accident management seminar from his wife and him. I figured I needed it because of how many accidents we seem to have on the sport bike rides. Since I have taken the course no one has been seriously hurt when I have been with them unlike the accidents that took place before I took the course that prompted me to take it. Are you Bill?
  5. Of course I blame others, it couldn't be my fault.
  6. Couple hundred more than I would have paid for one plus wouldn't have to worry about a lein on top of that.
  7. I had to keep searching the RPM range looking for some speed and never found it. There is no mistaking where it lives at in an I4.
  8. I've spent a few hours on a Super Duke riding RT60. While it is a fun bike (What non cruiser isn't.) other than banging off of the rev-limiter more times than I could count I recall that is didn't seem to be any faster than my 600 and heavier.
  9. I ride an I4 because I don't like to have as much fun on a bike as you hooligans do, I would rather go fast in the twisty stuff.
  10. That is a great route have fun, I am now certain not to have tires mounted by then because I didn't even get them ordered today.

  11. There would be no comparison because of the superior motor in the FZ1.
  12. I burned of what was left of last years tires this past weekend and I doubt that new ones will be mounted by the coming weekend. The scooter ride is the weekend after than but the weekend after than might be doable.

  13. And here is another one just in case you missed it MJ
  14. And I chose to ignore your highlight with an attempt at gender humor. Wrong, my example is from a college professor.
  15. Weren't we warned earlier in this thread about tempting fate by riding 666? We would have been okay but no we just had to turn around and ride it again.
  16. Not trying to be different but I like the second one better. The first one seems to be messed with too much and looks artificial.
  17. I don't recall if I answered earlier and I'm not going to go back to read the whole thing. I did fuck with Justin a little bit. I did come to the answer of 288 on my own but have since then asked someone who I regard highly in terms of their education and knowledge of mathematics and he came up with 2. That is probably the correct answer but 288 works for me. I can live with being wrong, won't be the first time and it won't be the last. Hell there are people walking around who a democrats and yet are able to still breathe so apparently being wrong about something doesn't always have dire consequences.
  18. ^This^ I wasn't going to go down to this but if they need bodies or bikes for support I am willing to help.
  19. I have never done this with a scooter, only sport bikes and I don't think anyone else has gone that far on their scooters either so it's good to see someone else who has done this. Do you think baring any mishaps that we can get this ride done all in daylight? We will probably have quite a few 150s with us. Welcome to Ohio-Riders.
  20. I'm sure it was quite traumatic, no one got a frostie.
