I thought SUVs could keep up with sport bikes right Parks?
-
Rob, you didn't make it down to the tail end of 83, it goes almost to the river, you stopped at 78.

Home safe, 459 miles, 11 hours 8 minutes. I had a great day and will reply more after I eat. Don't forget to lube those chains. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=OH-82+E%2FElyria-Twinsburg+Rd%2FRoyalton+Rd&daddr=OH-39+W+to:OH-39+W+to:Main+St+to:Frazeysburg+Rd+to:OH-208+W%2FDresden+Adamsville+Rd+to:Underwood+St+to:OH-60+S%2FS+River+Rd+to:OH-555+S+to:OH-555+N%2FOH-78+W%2FOH-78+Scenic+W+to:OH-555+N+to:N+7th+St+to:OH-260+N+to:OH-260+S+to:OH-78+W%2FWoodsfield+Rd+to:OH-83+N+to:Friendship+Dr+to:OH-83+S%2FOH-83+Scenic+S%2FUS-62+W+to:OH-82+W%2FElyria-Twinsburg+Rd%2FRoyalton+Rd&geocode=FRVodgIdYnMc-w%3BFYTQagId8N8d-w%3BFf4lawIdunQc-w%3BFR54ZwIdNq0c-w%3BFVYqZAIdrooc-w%3BFdYxZAIdfMsc-w%3BFbB8YQIdsMIc-w%3BFYb9YAIdRMIc-w%3BFUD9YAIdErMc-w%3BFR0ZXAIdlBsd-w%3BFdU-VwIdbHsh-w%3BFa5uWQIdekIl-w%3BFeSuWwIdnOUo-w%3BFaI6XQIdvjwo-w%3BFZ66XgIdShwm-w%3BFSTXXQIdP_gg-w%3BFYQ_YgIdyrog-w%3BFY0uagIdzPcd-w%3BFRVodgIdWnMc-w&hl=en&mra=ls&sll=39.781102,-81.776733&sspn=0.410537,1.052628&ie=UTF8&z=8 http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=Adams+St&daddr=OH-541+W%2FOH-60+S+to:Frazeysburg+Rd+to:OH-208+W%2FDresden+Adamsville+Rd+to:Underwood+St+to:OH-60+S%2FS+River+Rd+to:OH-555+S+to:OH-555+N%2FOH-78+W%2FOH-78+Scenic+W+to:OH-555+N+to:N+7th+St+to:OH-260+N+to:OH-26+S%2FOH-800+S+to:OH-800+S+to:OH-255+E%2FMuskingum+St+to:2nd+St+to:OH-260+S+to:OH-78+W%2FWoodsfield+Rd+to:OH-83+N+to:Friendship+Dr+to:Adams+St&geocode=FUWCZgId-Bcf-w%3BFQo9ZgIdfgsc-w%3BFVYqZAIdrooc-w%3BFdYxZAIdfMsc-w%3BFbB8YQIdsMIc-w%3BFYb9YAIdRMIc-w%3BFUD9YAIdErMc-w%3BFR0ZXAIdlBsd-w%3BFdU-VwIdbHsh-w%3BFa5uWQIdekIl-w%3BFeSuWwIdnOUo-w%3BFeRCXgIdHkkq-w%3BFWYbXgIdZmUq-w%3BFUqYXAIdGGAt-w%3BFQwPWwIdeg8r-w%3BFaI6XQIdvjwo-w%3BFZ66XgIdShwm-w%3BFSTXXQIdP_gg-w%3BFYQ_YgIdyrog-w%3BFUOCZgIdNRgf-w&hl=en&mra=ls&sll=39.522174,-81.063958&sspn=0.001368,0.00283&ie=UTF8&z=9 http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=Adams+St&daddr=OH-541+W%2FOH-60+S+to:Frazeysburg+Rd+to:OH-208+W%2FDresden+Adamsville+Rd+to:Underwood+St+to:OH-60+S%2FS+River+Rd+to:OH-555+S+to:OH-555+N%2FOH-78+W%2FOH-78+Scenic+W+to:OH-555+N+to:N+7th+St+to:OH-260+N+to:OH-26+S%2FOH-800+S+to:E+Court+St+to:OH-78+E+to:OH-536+S+to:OH-255+E%2FMuskingum+St+to:OH-800+S+to:OH-800+S%2FMorrison+Ln+to:2nd+St+to:OH-260+S+to:OH-78+W%2FWoodsfield+Rd+to:OH-83+N+to:Friendship+Dr+to:Adams+St&geocode=FUWCZgId-Bcf-w%3BFQo9ZgIdfgsc-w%3BFVYqZAIdrooc-w%3BFdYxZAIdfMsc-w%3BFbB8YQIdsMIc-w%3BFYb9YAIdRMIc-w%3BFUD9YAIdErMc-w%3BFR0ZXAIdlBsd-w%3BFdU-VwIdbHsh-w%3BFa5uWQIdekIl-w%3BFeSuWwIdnOUo-w%3BFeRCXgIdHkkq-w%3BFe26XgId40Uq-w%3BFUyAXgIdLE0s-w%3BFaZFXQId3Aku-w%3BFUqYXAIdGGAt-w%3BFWYbXgIdZmUq-w%3BFYS5WwIduvEr-w%3BFQwPWwIdeg8r-w%3BFaI6XQIdvjwo-w%3BFZ66XgIdShwm-w%3BFSTXXQIdP_gg-w%3BFYQ_YgIdyrog-w%3BFUOCZgIdNRgf-w&hl=en&mra=ls&sll=39.56559,-81.006239&sspn=0.001367,0.00283&ie=UTF8&z=9 http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=41.314789,+-82.022204&daddr=40.533955,-81.917488+to:39.993446,-81.741554+to:39.56724,-81.65456+to:39.277229,-81.688221+to:39.53801,-81.95231+to:39.943708,-82.000808+to:40.0395531,-81.9780978+to:40.33205,-82.00952+to:40.57132,-82.01741+to:40.554394,-81.929128+to:41.314788,-82.022192&hl=en&geocode=FeVpdgIdxHAc-w%3BFcN_agId0Ake-w%3BFWZAYgIdDrkg-w%3BFYi_WwId4Awi-yn5jGKMGy9IiDFLbq8Mjl-xjA%3BFa1SVwIdY4kh-w%3BFVpNWwIdyoEd-ymh0H8IVRdIiDEygCIgRg11hw%3BFRx-YQIdWMQc-w%3BFYH0YgIdDx0d-ylhIqS4N5M3iDEQO_txo294iw%3BFRJrZwIdUKIc-ymNuJwBEZ03iDG-KCBOkAiFsg%3BFbgRawIdfoMc-yn1_l9pDW83iDEqrCRaXK-aJA%3BFZrPagIdWNwd-w%3BFeRpdgId0HAc-w&mra=ls&via=3,5,7,8,9&sll=41.314694,-82.022204&sspn=0.00047,0.0012&ie=UTF8&ll=40.111689,-81.578979&spn=1.961833,4.916382&t=h&z=8

Just look at it like a passing exercise. Please try to make as many passes as possible on the left; this may not always be your best option because the more Harley riders there are in one place the worse they behave.
-
Oh great a rolling road block and an actual road block this should be interesting. Make sure everyone brings cash to pay the toll. I wouldn't be surprised if that trailer was still across 260 by the way it looked when we were down there. Looks like the chances for rain along the route increased overnight. Sunday doesn't look any better. There is a big storm in Chicago headed our way but it might dissipate before it gets here. I am still going to attempt this ride today. If I don't get out today I don't get to ride again for almost a month so I'm going to pack some rain gear now and go out any way.
-
Amish buggies. Freshly paved roads are very slick you should find a way to ride the old roads.
-
More good news from Jinx, he has told the local and state police bike units about the charity ride for fallen officers Saturday morning and they will all be there so we can thank him for the police escort.
-
I'm expecting back at 7:00PM mostly because it probably won't be just three or four bikes.
-
Saturday is a go; we will be leaving the CircleK at 8:00 AM for the 450 mile loop. The only thing that has changed in the weather report is that rain was added for 8:00 AM Sunday morning but the rest of the route is clear. I don't want to leave in the rain Sunday morning or delay the start time Sunday until the weather clears because that might put us in rain around the Marietta area or home after dark. I would rather take the chance of getting rained on during the ride back in Saturday night.
-
I would avoid the boring straight, flat ride to Millersburg if I could so meeting us there isn't a problem. With that being said I have given my best guess of when we will be there but I am not committing to any timing other than when we pull out of the first meeting spot, we don't have time to make two meeting spots. After we get to the Marathon on 39 and everyone fuels up we are leaving so if it is anyone’s intention to meet up with us there be there no later than 9:10AM. You might have to wait for us but if you get there later than 9:30 you might miss us and still need to get gas for yourself. I would expect to see several riders in full leathers.
-
For everyone that plans to meet up in Millersburg the gas stop is not the usual meeting spot. This meeting spot is the Marathon station on 39 west of 83. We will not be going past the Speedway on 83 in town until the return trip. More good news Jinx has got the Cleveland scooter club to ride along with us.
-
9:10AM give or take a few, depending on several factors. Jinx has texted me also about the ride being gone from the Marietta area before the rain hits so we could have all day without rain unlike the chance to get rained on Saturday the last hour. Right now it's still Saturday for me but we'll see as the weather forecast gets updated. I will lead a ride Saturday and Tpoppa will lead one Sunday that should fix this dilemma.
-
Right now I see the rain issue making this ride for me to be a Saturday ride. Looking at Cleveland, Zanesville and Marietta's hourly forecast for Saturday Cleveland has rain starting at 7:00PM, Zanesville rain at 9:00PM and Marietta at midnight. Sunday is clear for Cleveland and Zanesville but Marietta has rain at 4:00PM. Saturday looks like a better solution even if we get rained on the last hour getting home. The last 60 miles is all straight anyway. Riding Sunday if there is rain in the Marietta area means rain on the good roads. Right now I'm still on for Saturday. I will reevaluate this later today and make a call then. Does anyone else have some other logic to put towards this decision?
-
Don't be so quick, right now I am seeing some rain issues we might be riding Sunday. I will make the call by 7:00 PM Friday night unless others need to know of a date change sooner.
-
Don't have a clue, maybe 10 to 30? Latest Jinx update, he has now convinced the Amish to cruise 260 all day in their buggies.
-
I have ridden with guys on Goldwings, BMW LTs, Fat Boys and Warriors who all had no problem keeping up with this pace. They were not normal riders and in general most non sport bike riders wouldn't enjoy this group. If you ride a non sport bike and enjoy keeping up with sport bikes by all means come along.
-
He has to work Saturday and is having a fit about a ride planned. Hassle him as much as you can he deserves it. Besides even if it does rain Saturday he won't go on the whole 450 mile ride Sunday, the big sissy.
-
Jinx can't stand himself right now; he has sent me a couple texts a day harassing me about this ride. Jealous much? He has told me he has given the police, sheriffs and highway patrol our route and that they should be on the look out for Osama Bin Laden riding a red CBR1000RR. He has told me he has all the stunters showing up to turn it into a wheelie fest. He has also said he told the V-Star group to show up so we have a bunch of cruisers to tow around……. The next couple of days should be entertaining to see what he comes up with next.
-
Quit doing that rain dance then.
-
Is it just me, when I see videos of other people riding I think those fools are going entirely too fast they should slow down but when I see a video of me I think why is he going so slowly.

Can someone tell me about gas stations between 255 & 260 along 7? It has been a few years for me since I have been on that part of 7 and I seem to remember a station right at the bottom of 800 but it's a very small one. Is there a better option in that area?
-
If you guys can meet us at the Wendy’s in Zanesville that would be fine since we can make that our second gas stop. I can't predict the time we will get there though, its 120 miles from our start point plus a gas stop. I would guess it will take us 2:15 to 3:30 to get there depending on the number of riders, how long the first gas stop takes and the pace of our slowest rider. Anyone is welcome to join in but we are trying to get in 450 miles so we can't be waiting around for three different meeting spots. If you are there great, I have rode with you guys before so I have no problems with you guys joining but we won't wait for you if your not there. We want to make it home by dark because I turn into a pumpkin.
