When I ride it is a helmet, icon jacket/gloves, blue jeans and tall boots at the minimum! More alpinestars gear on the way soon! Btw my bike is completely naked right now, so it looks nothing like my profile pic

It seems there are only a few people north of Dayton interested in a group ride, so I'm putting out a 'feeler' topic to see who might be interested. I was thinking that we could all meet at the B-Dubs in Troy one day for a meet and great, (since I'm the newbie and willing to host ) and then a following weekend we could all meet up for a ride that would end at my place for a grill out, and drinks, I don't have the most room in the world but we can make it work for a decent amount to sleep here after drinking, just seeing how many might be interested, and a volunteer to lead the ride since I don't know the good roads up here, (yet). We can't let NEO and SWO have all the fun! If there is interest I will go from there!! The initial meet and greet can be anywhere near Troy, Tipp City, Piqua, ECT... Let hear ideas!!

Thanks chevy, when I joined, I was wanting to work on airplanes, already had my A&P, got put on ground side electronics, I was kinda bummed at first, until my grandpa said 'why? It's another job field that you can fall back on'. Never forgot that, and I'm working electronics now too..

Oldschool, that's a lot of miles! And I think I can get away for an hour or two in the evenings, I'll be out of town fri/sat, but should be able to get out anytime Sunday or Monday. Dustin, thanks for the routes! I will def check them out, and thanks for the heads up on taking it easy out there, I'm still gettin my 'feet back under me' but also very very cautiously and s l o w l y, but still feeling out my limits I'll shoot you both a pm with my number, so feel free to hit me up any time! If nothing else just a meet and greet or something?

Thanks for the link, I will most likely head out for a bit tomorrow, I'm taking babysteps since I haven't been on this bike in a year and a half now, took a little stroll this evening for about an hour, didn't do a lot of exploring mainly just 41, 235, and 55, (read: flat, straight, boring lol) but saw a couple of back roads that looked promising, will check them out later, at least I got some more miles in and enjoyed the evening! and that does sound like a good beer!

My girlfriend was trying to navy a while ago, and her recruiter told her that with the economy being crap right now, they have more applicants then ever and it's really hard for an 'average' person to get in. I did 5 years in the Marines, 2 tours of Iraq and a year in japan,feel free to pm me as well and I'll answer as best I can. My biggest advice.. Whatever you do is to get a trade that you can use after to get a job
