  1. 3 Things.. 1. My balls aren't very big. (I'm a cautious by nature person) plus fear of a bad bad injury especially with a wife and 8 week old baby. 2. I always think my bike needs a better set up, different adjustments, geometry, etc. when in reality I should just get out there and ride becuase the bike is better than me. 3. Technique. I still have a ton to learn between lines, braking, entry, exit, trail braking, body position, bike control, learning to let the rear slide a little, not puckering when pushing the front etc. I was at a trackday running close to championship novice, and middle pack expert times. I was pushing and pushing and getting faster and faster.. I was shaving off seconds and one lap I pushed too hard into turn 2 at putham and mid lean i started tank slapping and sliding the front and rear.. Somehow I saved it, but after that I was checked out for the day.. i went to Barber a few weeks later and my head wasn't in it.. I later crashed that day (someone crashed in front of me) and I haven't been as fast since... I need to get my head back in it.. Hopefully getting my new bike helps! It is more mental than I like to think.
  2. you can find sv650's under 2k all day long
  3. THis was a dude on wera.. He sold the video to someone and made like 100 bucks.. lol
  4. Is the vin still on the frame? any idea on why no title at all? friend is interested
  5. Soo.... really you have no first hand experience with roo skin and you really don't know what you are talking about... lol I have never had issues with any roo skin getting wet on anything I've owned.
  6. Put your forks to flush with the triples, and you will thank me later! I have done 2 trackdays on it so far, and right out of the box it was pretty dang awesome. I made a few adjustments here and there (like putting forks to flush) and setting sag, changing a little preload and damping etc. But I was running pretty close to the exact same times I was running on my built kawi. I just got my race bodywork back from paul. I have a full Akra system, Yoyodyne slipper, apex clipons, gb crash covers, attack rearsets set for gp shift, pit bull damper, lightec axle adjusters, asv shorty levers, race filter, 1050 quick turn throttle (best mod ever for $11), renthal sprockets, DID 520 chain conversion. So needless to say, its slowly becoming an amazing track weapon.. can't wait to try it out at jennings this winter.. That said.. U MUST bring it to the track.. You will thank me later!
  7. My dad had it on his shoei and hated it.. he ripped his off as well.. it kept getting caught on his leathers.
  8. I bought a new triumph 675r and needed some track skins for it. My buddy had a 675 that he was selling and I bought his used bodywork off of him for a steal. I didn't even open the box to see what it looked like (I've seen it mounted on his bike) but I just sent the box over to Paul to have him repaint it to match my stock pearl white 675R color. Paul and I agreed on a time that I needed it back by. That agreed time was today, because a friend of mine was coming over for a trackday, so I wouldn't have to pay to ship it. Pauls communication through the whole thing was absolutely awesome. Any time I had a question, it was answered quickly. Unfortunately when he started on the prep he realized it had been spray painted 3 different times, and he had to strip it down to fiberglass and re gel coat.. I felt like crap and offered to pay for any extra work that went into prep. He was like "I see it all the time, it's not big deal." He prepped it, and realized a few pieces work weak and needed re fiberglassed, and he did that as well. Well I received the bodywork tonight, and it BLOWS away anything I could have thought. He added number plates, and a sweet red flake that makes the pearl POP! It looks incredible, and the price was WAAAAY to good.. I actually paid him a little more because the work was way to good for that price. I will post pics when it is mounted.. I can't say thanks enough to Paul and the favor he does OR members with unbeatable paint with an unbeatable price.... U R THE FREAKIN MAN!!! thanks dude!
  9. WD 40 ONLY.. Do it once or twice every trackday... No lube.. that stuff gets nasty and gunky.. WD keeps it clean and lubed.. u just have to make sure you use it more often then most conventional lubes.. Talk to 35motorsports on what he uses.. WD 40!
  10. +1. He just repaired and repainted my bodywork!
  11. PRICE SNITCHES!!! I'm due for a new lid and LOVE LOVE LOVE My 2 RPS 10's..
  12. I'm sure all of the top teams do that, but every race seems a bit silly.. I'm sure there is zero benefit to that, especially at the wera level, but if thats what the bossman wants.. so be it.
  13. 675R's Suck... If I didn't have an R I would def buy this.. What a deal..
  14. I'm going to be driving from Indy to get my triumph dialed in..
  15. Twizted Rabbit got knocked off his r6 by a bird down in hocking.
  16. I'd try q2s. I've seen people fly on them... However u won't feel the grip like u do on the gpa. I've seen a set of q2 for as cheap as 200 a set
