Today 11/08...still riding...sorrta like the Energizer battery...beautiful day here in Cincinnati..no way am I not riding... So still riding? Hell yeah!!!

Bike is running good after carb rebuild,sync and color tune..kinda was pushing it after 30 years:) can only take soo much Seafoam:drink: Could cause a slight fuel starvation problem.. Had to get out monster reading glass too see what main jets I had..they changed from year to year..had 110,tried 120 and a modified air box but went back to stock,felt better.. Have two diaphrams that have tiny tears in them,plan on replacing this sunday.. Purdy dag gone clean... Right on... Biggest bang for the buck were the hot coils,carb rebuild and then cam chain...it's running good,one thing about these older bikes is don't put the energy conserving oil in them your clutch may slip when ya start cranking some rpm's....

I was crossing the street today and a car beeped it's horn at me,I looked and two girls were in it,as I got closer the window started coming down,I saw a Miami Universtity sticker on the rear window(they ain't got dogs)my step gets a bit smarter as I approach the car,my chest sticks out a bit more,my pants are getting tighter,my mind is racing,what am I gonna say,the window is down all the way and I can see in,two angels are sitting there looking at me with my chest sticking out,my pants are really tight now,my blonde( grey) hair is bowing in the wind,I have a smile from ear to ear,I am so excited now I am about to pee my pants( feel like a 16 year old boy) and then the one yells out to me" Hurry old old man and get out of the way we are in a hurry!" My bubble is now burst:smilieRR:

No but I did walk up hill both ways to school in the snow after milking the cows and doing my paper route and almost forgot feeding the pigs:D (the plastic bread bags go inside your shoes over your socks)

Was out today 11/01..perfect ..53 degress...beautiful..couple of old bike and rider pictures..we never stop riding :-)

Just south of Galbraith on Colerain..metal plates in the road,smooth as silk but if wet slicker than sthi...won't be there long....

A little snow:-) Not me but another XS1100 rider..

No poofing:D Actually not that big of a deal..drilling out valve cover bolt,drop cloth got moved a bit and some metal dropped down but they are heavier than oil and drops to oil pan,drain bolt has a magnet,pump has a screen and have an oil filter..oil and filter changed at 150 miles..problem solved... This is what was important last sunday..

Way too early to think about not riding for the season..beautiful afternoon here in Cincy..had a nice ride after work...fantastic....the biggest thing I worry about is deer.Dress for the weather,put a smile on as ya ride.it may be frozen there:-) but hold your head high and go for it... :D:D:D:D two years ago I got back from a ride and my hands were soo cold when I got back had to the other half undu my safety latch on my helmet:):) Now that WAS A GOOD RIDE Mister winter will be upon us before ya know it so ya better ride now... Too early to be thinking about the spring rides ya wanna take.....

Had that happen once on my old 650 Yamaha..broke at the lever..took out pocket knife,dug a hole thru the lever,took a licensce plate nut and bolt,wrapped cable around,stuck thru lever..as far as I know it is still like that..if the bike is still on the road.

I only did about 50 miles today,rebuilt carbs..perfect weather tho,came across 275 about 8 pm, I was over dressed, only 53 degrees, I was sweating... Hocking Hills this time of the year..PERFECT....got pictures? Went there two years ago with a Shadow rider..took us 9 hours but we took the long way.. Tired..tell about my oil drain plug later...
