  1. Thanks for everything guys. I just got off the phone with my sisterd BF Larry who currently has the bike. He spent a bunch of time cleaning it up to see what really needed to be replaced. He found out I only need the front upper and lower plastics, a turn signal and a tail piece. The front plastics are practically ground through and can't just be painted. The tail could probably be fixed but its only $40 so I will just buy a new one with the other plastics. Really, as far as repairs I trust he has it covered. The only thing I really need to do is sell it. Thanks to all that have offered to go over to his place though. I agree, I need to work on getting better and not worrying. I've just finally gotten off of some of those strong drugs and reality has been setting in. It's scary but I can do this.
  2. Thanks for everything guys. I am supposed to br moving over to dod hall for rehab today but i have been having a really tough time today. Not nearly as strong as I've been. I just miss being normal so bad. This is terrible...but I will get through it I think. If anyone can help with the bike, I would be more than greatful. Thanks!
  3. Thanks for stopping by.It really meant a lot that you would do that. Same goes for todd too...I have unbelievable respect for you two!!!!!
  4. Thanks, it's good to hear I may somehow get back on a bike. My spine was completely severed though....not partially so I dunno what else to think. i still plan to work hard in rehab though!!!
  5. Yea, I'm still in intensive care but I did get a computer so thats been nice. I'm all drugged up now and my back still hurts.I am only 25 with no kids yet...but now I'm not sure if that will happen. I just need to get into rehab.
  6. Ok here's the deal. I skidded into a tree head first doing about 35 mph while trying to avoid a car last Friday. This severed my spinal chord, broke my spine and punctured a lung. The good news is my spine is in tact again but I only have feeling in my chest, arms and upper back. Please pray spinal surgery advances one day so maybe I will have a chance to walk again eventually. For now, I have to roll with the punches and move on with what i was delt. be careful out there and ride for me!!! Thanks for being so cool, Brian
  7. Did you hear about that new beer company marketing solely to the homosexual community? It's for the guys who don't like Busch.
  8. I'm going for sure as long as the weather cooperates. I plan to squeeze as many good rides in before it gets cold again...fucking winter.
  9. Hmmm, so by beginner ride...would you say it will be a slower or slightly faster pace when compared to last Saturday's ride? I'm not an "advanced" rider but I'm not new to twisties either. Think it's worth getting up at the ass crack for?
  10. So if we wake up tomorrow and the weather is nasty most of the day, is it still on or will it be rescheduled?
  11. It's about time I check this out. I only live a mile from that Hooters so I have no excuse not to go.
  12. Niiiiiiiiiice! I am excited to get to ride with you guys again and I will definitely be there next weekend. I went on the June ride and had a great time! I loved how organized everything was and the "fast group" was a perfect pace for me. Everyone had fun but didn't get too cocky or stupid. I vote for the Hocking area! Can't beat it.
  13. HAHA, thanks for helping with my bill! I felt like a dick trying to hand over a credit card and the lady looked at me like she had never seen one before. I thought Saturday went really well. It was probably the best group ride I have ever been on and was well organized. I was in the fast group and although we were flying, I never felt as if I was being pushed too hard. I have followed some crazy people in the past and that wasn't too fun. I was the last person in our group to get off the highway on the way back...Hilliard is ALL the way on the other side of town and I was happy to get off the bike when I got there.
  14. I knew I saw this a few days ago on craigslist! I just didn't know it was a member's bike. I've been looking around for a potential replacement for the 650 and I wasn't feeling the zx6r. The CBR has always been my favorite though. Let me know if you have any better pics and if i can come take a look at it in person.
  15. HAHAHAHA, fat chicks will ruin a nice bike fast! That's a sick bike but I'm not feeling the kawi-green. Almost every vehicle I have ever owned was/is black and I plan to stick with it. Thinking back on my short ride on the ZX6R, I don't think I spent enough time on it to make a good decision. I was stuck in a somewhat residential area and when I was pulling out of the dude's apartment complex, there were state troopers sitting in the parking lot. That bike also had no muffler...just the hot bodies tip so they could probably hear me the entire time. I did get on it though for a short time...but I still don't feel my test ride was good enough. I'm also used shifting the 650 around 4-5rpm. I think the 636 needed a little more revs before shifting...but again it was so fucking loud and I knew I would have to pull back into the complex and pass the piggies. PS: Thanks for offering to let me take the 675 for a spin! I hope you wern't fucking with me because I plan to take you up on the offer.
  16. 300 miles will be the longest ride I've done...but I'm all for it!
  17. I'm not bashing I4's at all...they are retardedly fast and handle great. They just don't seem like they would be that fun under 60mph. I'm almost certain my opinions would change if spent more time on one though...
  18. I agree, I think I am just biased because I am used to riding a twin and they are a night and day difference compared to the I4. Don't get me wrong, the 636 is still a bad ass bike but I wouldn't make it my only bike. Isaac's Papa, you told me and I didn't listen...haha. Your right, the SV650 is basically the same thing I have. Buuuuuuuut, maybe I just need a 1000.
  19. Well I checked out the bike a couple hours ago and it's not in the best shape. It has spent plenty of days sitting outside...rain or shine and that sucks. The chain was rusty, tires were shot, and there were many scratches here and there...one where someone actually keyed it. The owner was a really cool guy but didn't seem to know much about bikes. That annoys the hell out of me and it usually means they didn't really care about the bike and didn't take care of it...or they are bullshitting which is even worse. So, I got to ride it and didn't like it. At least not enough to have as my only bike. I mean I KNOW it is a race replica but holy shit...I don't get why everyone actually thinks they are great daily riders. It is a TRACK bike no matter how you look at it. The ergos and power delivery are as far from "street" friendly as they come. It is the slowest turd around town and then when you finally have enough room to crank the throttle and let it wind up, it goes from slow turd to turd in my pants faster than you can blink. I will take my low and midrange power over crazy top end any day of the week...especially in a bike I use on the street and in the twisties. At this point I don't see an I4 600 in my future. I'm kinda bummed out too...I mean I built it up to be better than it was. I still want to get on a 675 tripple! 4DAIVI PAI2K5, how's the power delivery on that thing? More linear?
  20. Haha, I wouldn't mind checking it out but I really like the older 2005-2006 style better. Shoot me some pics though!!
  21. I have been eye-balling this thing for about a week and my temptation is getting stronger by the day. I have not seen the bike in person but plan to check it out regardless of whether or not I decide to sell the 650. I love my bike but I have been craving the power, handling, and sound of the I4 lately. My concern is that I will miss the torque of the 650 twin. I was also wondering if I would mind commuting on the ZX6R. I have low SM sport bars on my bike and don't mind the lean angle at all...but I don't know what the 636 would be like. I need some opinions...should I go with my urge or stick with what I have? http://columbus.craigslist.org/mcy/1212215164.html
  22. I may meet up with Harb and roll with you guys. Hopefully the weather cooperates!
  23. I worked for discount tire for years and a plug AND patch from the inside is the best and safest way...but on a bike? eh...I think I would bite the bullet and buy a new one too. Man, you really can't catch a break, huh?! I think you should stick to Hocking twisties...better luck down there. It just seems like Coshocton hates you! haha
