  1. Ok, 1st i know the easier way is drop the k member, but i have no lift, no hoist, and no access to anything. So unless there's a way to brace the motor from the bottom and drop the k at the same time, as all the suspension is already out, its gonna have to be done the hard way. If anyone has done an install lthis way, did you remove anything like the starter, p/s pump, etc? any tips? i just wanna find the easiest hard way to do this lol. Thanks all

  4. Maybe he put the wrong pump on? There are 2 styles, 1 for the old style 302's and reverse rotation for the 5.0's. Not sure how you tell the difference looking at them, and i can't remember what year exactly they switched over, but i think it was around 87? someone else can chime in on this idea. Other then that, Check for water in the crankcase, oil in the radiator or overflow, and bubbles in the radiator, quick signs of head gasket or a crack in a block or head. or it may be something as easy as a sticking thermostat. good luck.

On the tach, i just decided to stick with my old msd shift light. i kept trying to find a decent place to mount it and i dont like how it sits anywhere. so yea, problems solved, thanks for the help.

  9. Rob, i have the msd adapter, where do i splice in to get the signal? i figured as much on the temp deal, thanks. and there is no schrader on my car, at least not that ive seen yet...
  10. So i've been working on getting the stang up and running for spring time, and i need to get around to hooking up my water temp and fuel pressure gauges. Just curious if anyone on here has done either of these, because i can't figure out where to tap into the fuel system, and wanted to check where you guys put the temp probe before i start drilling and tapping shit. Also, for a tach adapter, i just need to tie into the signal for #1 coil right? just double checking. Matt
  11. While you can an aftermarket bell and it will work no problem like said above, Mod motors and the 302/351w bell patterns and have been since the mod motors came along, not sure where you saw otherwise?

    Fuck it, here ya go. Since you seem to be scared of anything with more then 400 hp, I got $200 that says 1, your car doesnt trap over 120, 2, the fucking trans drops out, and 3 that you get drug down the fucking track anyway by a lil single cam 4.6.... Since you already have free admission to the spring track day, should be an easy $200 for ya, right?

  16. I change mine every other oil change or so, my car eats plugs up, i can usualy figure on 4k-8k miles, then it starts picking up a miss at idle and sputters up top. On a different note, Tr-6's is what i run, i had no idea you Lsx guys ran them too.

  18. Are they flat black? i couldn't really tell. But yea, if you're willing to swap suspension stuff i'll more then likely be down to trade. Any time frame for how quick you're wanting to do this? I'll be tearing mine apart starting tommorow for some other stuff anyway so i could have mine off by this weekend possibly.

  20. Like everyone else has said, run nitro if you need to. Fuel type, amount of boost, shot size, whatever, your car is set up they way it is, should be the end of story. If people want to come out and act like they got some fast shit, they need to know they can cover a low 10 sec car anymore to have a chance to run the actual fast shit. If not, do what the majority of us do and just have fun, and not get all butt hurt over stupid shit like fuel. Amen?

Tyler, do you have any pics? i have a set of jegs pro stars, 15x4 and 15x8 with 165/15's on the front and 275/15's on the back. i also have a set of 26x10.5 m/t et streets i might throw in. only problem i would have is i have drag shocks and springs on my 04 and i'm not sure i want to switch my 04 back to a street setup. What kind of suspension setup are you going with when you put your new "4.6" in? only reason i ask is i might be up for trading shocks and springs and shit if you have a decent set of lowering springs and decent shape struts. Ive got 90/10's with 250lb moroso springs in the front, and 50/50's with moroso springs out back. LMK
