    Depends on the condition of the vehicle, and how long you plan on keeping it. If the vehicle is good shape, and you plan on holding on it to it for a while. I don't see the problem. However like you mentioned, rebuilt/salvage titles knock down the value of any vehicle. So if you have to sell it, you could end up taking a loss on it too. What are you trying to buy?

    No...i didn't mean the previous owner. I meant the notary. Obviously...you know it's not the most "moral" or "law abiding" thing to do...but if you know the notary...he/she should be able to take care of it for you. It worked for me last time with the previous owner signing the title. Because i knew the notary. Said notary is now on vacation.

    Previous owner has signed off on the title. So no, it's not in my name yet. I take it, unless i know the person, the previous owner has to be present?

    So...i thought i had a notary lined up for me. Turns out they just went on vacation, and won't be back for a week. I need to get this thing in my name, so i can get plates for the bike. Does anyone know of a notary in the Lancaster/Columbus area? And who will take care of it, without the previous owner being there? Thanks

    Money for the bike and lost wages, plus you get to keep the bike. Nice, still sucks what happened, and glad you made it out ok bud. I know it sucks not being able to ride man, i am just NOW, finally picking up a bike tonight. Can't wait to get on the road. It's been too long since i have had my own. Get well soon and get back out on the road and we'll ride man. Just no semi's this time. :D
