this is what sucks about having to be at work at 7am, i gotta leave at 630 which is still 40 or less in the morning even when it's gonna be in the upper 60's

i got $1200 back from the feds. Half of it was thanks to moving out this summer so now I can get the $600 "stimulus" payment on my taxes for 2008. Basically negated all the taxes I owed so I got all the withholdings back. Sadly, it all went to paying rent/utilities/bike payment while i was unemployed Jan/Feb/March. would have been great if i'd had a job then I could have paid off my R6 completely.

No idea why they would clamp down interest on anyone, but that's what the news report was on: CC companies hiking interest rates on many, even good clients, for no reason of their own. +1 for credit unions. I've always banked with one in Dayton even though I'm now in columbus. And of course the bailout is bullshit. it gives big, mismanaged banks an unfair competitive advantage over responsible banks and credit unions. My CU didnt get bailed out, so I benefited none, or at least completely indirectly, from all that bailout money that came out of my/our taxes.

i've never had a credit card with an interest rate. Have a Best Buy card, but i've never bought anything without 18 months no interest.

Guy on the news tonight talking about banks raising credit card rates even after getting a bailout said "the government already bailed you out, dont ask your customers to." WTF do you think the gov't bailout was? It was YOU (customers AND non-customers like myself who dont give two shits if your bank tanks) AND Obama just said that if banks need more aid, they will get it. What kind of god-awful incentive is that to improve your business practices? This is rediculous. Here's how this will play out: -Banks get a bailout so now the gov't "cant afford to let them go under" -banks raise interest rates for whatever reason they want -people complain about bailout banks raising rates -banks say they have to -government "steps in" to give them more money so rates will go down -banks get more money -americans end up indirectly paying more to banks in exchange for NO debt reduction! Business in america is just going to hand itself over to government "control" ala GM without anyone even batting an eye... Any business/bank getting any gov't money should have to provide EQUAL value in debt relief or products to American citizens.

i was always surprised with the recent gas mileage craze that MC commercials advertising their MPGs hasnt been up. I dont think a lot of ppl realize some of the 250's and 500's get 50-70 mpg.

so now that it was officially dark out, i had him drive down the road with me following with low or low+high on and then turn around and drive toward me and both ways he said didnt seem blinding or bad at all. so hooray! man, i took these down a country road just now too and with both bulbs on it lights the fuckin road up!

yep: 2 bulbs, 2 ballasts. www.DDMTuning.com man, these things are bright, i hope i'm not blinding the hell out of people on the road. i had a friend drive towards and away from me in the parking lot today to see how bad it was. he said they were obviously bright, but not blinding or excessively glaring.

so does this mean more businesses can become like GM and grossly overpay their union employees for doing menial tasks?

$70 for the HID kit + shipping and tax ended up $85. really simple install too. build quality seems very nice, the weather proof connectors are sweet and nothing feels cheap, anyway.

i'll be up for it once i put mine back together.

no, it's the normal 2nd gen R6 with projectors, just hard to see in the pics. i'll get better pictures tomorrow. i havent put the windscreen back on yet, need to finish cleaning up the install by taping/tying down the wires, ballasts, and ignitors.

Just finished putting in my DDM (Apexcone) 35w 6000k HIDs into my 04 R6. Looks amazing and install (once I got the drill bit i needed) should have only taken about 30 minutes. Everything just plugged into the orignal light socket for power, cut a hole in the dust cover to let the cables out, and hide the wires. Done. Better pictures later, just finished popping them in a few minutes ago.

i hate when big games aren't competitive. michigan state just looked intimidated to start the game off and it showed in them making a lot of mistakes.

haha! that was definitely me yesterday. a few of those hills i was pretty much standing up cause the bike dropped out from under me.

i'm down. i live in GC just off the 71/270 interchange. i'd like to head down to hocking hills or some other place where there's some good roads to ride.

we'll see. i'm gonna go put some new front pads on my bike today and if it's around 3 anyway, i'll definitely be up for it. mind you, i'm not exactly a great rider so consider yourself warned.
