  1. anyone up for some adventurous riding today? i'm still looking for a good place to ride around here and it's supposed to be warm and sunny til 5 or 6 today.
  2. LEET HAX ZOMGZORZ!1!!! saw this in the parking lot at Wright State last year.
  3. well i guess that's good to know then.
  4. hey man, what all did you have to do to install the DDM HID kit? mine will be in this week and i'm excited but not entirely certain what all i need to do.

  5. I snuck in around 3 just to check out all the bikes
  6. did it again today. the engine had only been running for about a minute before but it's odd. i twist the throttle and it feels like i didnt open it up at all. it's fine once it's warmed up, i just dont recall it doing this before.
  7. yeah the bushings were a bit smashed from tightening the screen on previously so i shaved them down with a razorblade and they fit well enough.
  8. dyno day? what is this? is it free?
  9. good to know they are tackling that bad california economy by restricting what people can buy! Ingenious!
  10. bought a new Puig windscreen today but i cant get those damn rubber-encased nuts from the stock screen to go in the new screen holes, either the holes are too small or i'm doing something wrong. help?
  11. no, i hadnt warmed it up, but i dont always do that and it's never happened before. gas was about 1.5 weeks old, and the plugs were newly (and painfully) installed a year ago.
  12. so i took my 04 R6 out today for an hour and the first... maybe 2 minutes the throtte wouldnt accelerate any harder than beyond a few degrees of turning the grip... very slow, even when i pinned the throttle back... about 3-4 minutes in it was fine, but this has never happened before... should i be worried or just something that happens?
  13. i took stringtown, to broadway, to beatty, to lambert, to who knows what between 530 and 630. saw a few ppl out there.
  14. It's only legal so long as you are only going 5 mph or less above the rate of traffic around you and you are still within the speed limit I believe.
  15. alright, i'm out, if anyone see's a black 2nd gen R6 around, that's me.
  16. its just stupid though, that they get pissed about it? are they that upset that im gonna get somewhere before they do? its not like it even holds up traffic because as soon as that light is green im outtie 5000. in cali where lane splitting is legal they consider it "efficient use of road throughput" which I think is right on the money. if traffic is stopped or sluggish, no reason everyone should have to sit and wait.
  17. i'm sure there will be plenty more days this year
  18. no clue, i usually go down broadway in GC to Lambert, there's a few sweeping curves there and then i just fart around some of the back roads for a while, dont really know any good places to ride.
  19. lol, have at it. in the end you'll be more embarassed than me.
  20. I was thinking about this the other day and was wondering what stupid shit constantly tempts you while you are out on a ride? For me, it's when i'm stuck behind cars that are driving side-by-side down the road/highway and they're going way too slow for me. Every time "just go between them" pops into my head and i always entertain it for about 5 seconds, then decide not to.
  21. i'm gonna go ride in a few around south columbus, maybe 5 pm? probably just gonna hit some back roads. anyone up for coming?
  22. Bikes can be sneaky like that. Good looking bikes with issues and bikes like mine that have clearly been wrecked that run flawlessly.
  23. www.ratebeer.com if you really wanna start exploring new beers and seeing how they all really stack up. Hoegaarden is really good, Great Lakes Conway's Irish Ale is great too. Samuel Adams White Ale and Summer Ale's are both great, but sadly only seasonal. But for easy, session drinking Sam Adams Light is my go to beer. Great taste, low bitterness in the finish, but not a weird combination of soapy water and corn that is the rest of the light beer/American beer world. Actually, it's a great stepping stone beer from light beers as it gets you used to more beer flavor and once you're used to that, all the 'light' beers taste worthless after that.
  24. yeah, i generally ride at 36F/37R as most of my riding is commuting.
