  1. Just checking in, as I haven't had much time to be around on the site lately, but I am planning on being there tomorrow. Hopefully there is the same 20+ turnout this time as well. Without going into all the boring details... I'm having more health issues then usual right now, and am on some good meds. I'm planning on hanging out in the back, going slow, and hopefully staying Safe. I'll try not to hold you all up too much. I'm just doing my part for the riders on the less comfortable bikes to rest, stretch some, and for everyone to catch up to SchmuckGirl!!! Now it's time to take a nap..Have a great day everyone, and cya tomorrow!
  2. Thanks for all the compliments on the kid. He''s only taking up part of one cushion now lol..but soon, he will be taking up his fair share. Yeah, I have lost weight. 50,000,013 surgeries, (or maybe that's a slight exaggeration) and some relentless slave drivers, err I mean Physical Therapists tend to have the effect on you. Monday, I'm going to be handing in Another therapy prescription. This time, something about multiple pinched nerves in my neck.
  3. Some of you may know I lost my 8yo Service Animal, a female Mastiff named Prestige, a little over a month ago. She meant everything to me. My Parents found me this cute little guy last Friday. They explained my situation to the seller, and we went to go look at a litter of 8. She gave me a Very nice discount, and we brought him home! He is now an almost, 8 week old English Mastiff, named Valor. I am Very grateful for the discount that she gave me, as I would not have been able to get him without it. I am also thankful for my parents who got him for me. I didn't know if I was ready yet or not, but now I have no choice. Hopefully I won't ever need him to work as a Service Animal, but I am going to train him to go into Animal Assisted Therapy, which is what my former Mastiff, Prestige, was training to do before I got sick. Then her training changed to be adjusted for what I needed. My riding time will be cut down this year as the first year working with him is so critical, but it will be worth it. So much for a 15k riding year! (I already am at 3k) Maybe I will have to bring my Cage to an event or two to get him socialized. If he can handle being around the OR bunch, then he can handle being around anyone. I better make sure he has his vaccinations first though, for his safety though of course! SO here he is...Meet Valor! http://i227.photobucket.com/albums/dd119/danballa/Valor/IMG_0048.jpg%20%20%20%20%20%20"]
  4. I am a doubtful tonight. It isn't safe for me to be on two wheels today due to health issues. Hope you guys/gals have a blast! Awesome weather right now, hope it holds up for you.
  5. That's called.. a Hayabusa!
  6. Sweet Lid..grats, and I hope you never field test it
  7. Happy Birthday! Hope you have a great day today!
  8. Happy Birthday! Man, with all the birthdays today, we should of have a birthday lunch today...but someplace with better service. Think of all the free shots people would have bought you!
  9. Happy Birthday! Hope it is a good one!
  10. Just made it home here. Nice, chilly ride again, is it summer yet? Great seeing everyone again, and meeting a couple new faces. Now I gotta go warm up some.
  11. At least your salad looked normal. That soup...yeah...that's another disgusting story though. I don't even think a starving, 3rd world person would have ate that.
  12. Yeah, I remember that phrase well too. I've had my very dark moments as well, and some were not that long ago. When you are truly to that point, you, or at least I have found enough hope to get by in the smallest of actions from others. Some people, and some people on this site too, will probably never know how much influence a Smile can have on someone else. Or a gesture made from sincere caring, and good intentions. Maybe it's an offer of help, to listen, or if you happen to buy someone you just met a drink, or a meal. The list goes on. It's often been the smallest of things, that people never really think twice about doing, that have gotten me here. Thank you, to those that have helped me. If there is anyone reading this that would like, or needs someone to listen to them, please contact me. I've been through a lot, and am willing to try to understand, and/or just listen to your dark times, depression, suicidal thoughts, or whatever is on your mind. I am Not a medical professional, but I am a honest guy who cares.
  13. I was way in the back lol. I was riding behind Becka. It was her first time ever riding any type of twisty roads I guess. She had a close call when coming up to Ricks accident due to too much rear brake, but other then that she did very well. Just at a slower, safer, pace that her dad set for her. We probably never hit more then 70. I dunno, I enjoy riding with the less experienced riders, and make sure they are OK, and enjoy themselves. To me, it seems that as long as they know they aren't Last, and/or, aren't by themselves in a group ride, they will enjoy it more, and ride at their own, safe pace, whatever it may be. I've had my extreme speed days, and I've had my twisty days. Now, as long as the group waits at the stops, so we/I don't end up getting lost, I am more then happy to ride with the slowest rider (you all did a great job at waiting at turns btw) I enjoy just being out and being Able to ride. It's a blessing, and a privilege just to be able to be out on two wheels, and one that I will never take for granted again. I enjoy seeing the different sites, and meeting the people that are involved. Speed, route, destination, doesn't matter, it's the people that I meet along the way that I will remember. I'm looking forward to May's ride already!

    Brass Balls

Yeah, I had to check this out too. Word of mouth is contagious! (or maybe its because I was at your lunch table too) I agree though, just an awesome, amusing thread! Kind of disappointed about no Titanium balls and forklift pics though.
  15. Nah, you are just confused. It's known as Busa Envy. Common mistake. You're forgiven since it's a Sunday and all.
  16. Welcome. I'll warn you early on, there is a LOT of Kat hating around here! Just be an extra cool person, to make up for your ride and people will accept you!

    Brass Balls

This seemed like the better thread to post in...SchmuckGirl, you better watch out. After getting this pic posted, you might develop some O.R. "stalkers"
  18. I don't care where...just Warm!! and dry please
  19. Finally getting around to checking in. I had to leave early with some health issues. I made is back ok, although I didn't actually make it back until 6:15 or so. Thanks a lot for the ride, it was a lot of fun. I enjoyed meeting new faces, and seeing old ones again. Our waitress just sucked. Why do I always get the bad waiter/waitress? Applebees, Catalifinos, and now that place too? I'm glad to see that the Katana rider is ok, but seriously..have we not learned the Katana lesson by now? To all those people saying They were holding up the group....I was last in virtually every stop, so you guys don't need to worry about it. I was so far behind, you guys probably forgot I was part of the group. I like my spot back there though, I get to watch everyone else, and I allow the rest of you to falsely feel superior! I sure wish that the weather was warmer though, or that I had better gloves. My final comment..is I totally have to agree with..................
  20. Well, Accuweather, and the weather channel, are now saying low-mid 50s high...but neither is calling for rain on 17th now. No rain is a good thing!
  21. I'm questionable on this one. I have an appointment at 1:45, and when I get home I'll know for sure..But I'd say its 75% chance I'm going
  22. Sounds like a pretty active and participating sponsor to me. That's always a good thing in my mind. Welcome again

    Spare Keys

A lot of hardware places don't like to stock the keys, and although things have changed since the 8 years I used to work in one, couldn't just order one key blank, had to order 10 I believe, and then they don't want to stock the other 9. Last time, I just bought an uncut key blank from FleaBay, and then took it into Roush Hardware and they cut it for me. Key blank is from probably $4. up to $40. depending on the custom styles (appearance) Then to actually get it cut, they charged me less then a dollar. Dunno if that helps you any..but it's all I know heh.
  24. Don't worry about being left behind. It's my job to get left behind!! Or, I'll at least make sure you aren't by yourself anyways. I like riding sweep. I don't have the need to go fast. I'm just as happy riding with the slowest person, and make sure everyone is safe. Plus, it's the easiest way for me to stay out of trouble, and not get into any dangerous situations due to feeling competitive, going to fast, or trying to show off heh. At least that's what I keep telling myself anyways. Come one, come all..don't have any fears about being left behind, or holding anyone up. I'm going to be there...weather dependent. Forecast so far..High of 63. Plenty of clouds with chance of rain. Friday or Saturday when I looked, it was calling for Thunderstorms. This is springtime in Oh. though, by the time Saturday actually gets here...it might be sunny and 90!
