Let me be first to ask..What discounts do they give me? hahahahaha J/k but you KNOW it's always one of the first things asked heh. Welcome Schiets Motorsports!

I'm not exactly religious, but I'm going to ride with them again. My non-religious opinion of them, are they are just cool people who like to ride, with a focus on safety and Fun! Pastor Dave (I think was his name) says a prayer before the ride, and that's about it as far as religion goes. My first time riding with them, I was a little worried about what it would be like. They treated me with respect, and welcomed me with very friendly, and open arms. It is mainly due to them, that I ended up getting full protective gear. Great group to ride with. It's always nice to ride with religious people..They can pray for good weather for us :-) See you there

So I was looking up that 765t that Hoblick suggested. I saw refurbished ones for $180. and new ones for about $220. Any reasons I shouldn't get it that anyone knows The Zumo 550 would be nice, but I can't justify the cost for it. Anyone have personal experience with the 765t and able to offer personal input on it? Likes/dislikes?

Hey guys/gals, I'm looking for a GPS that has spoken street names, blue-tooth, Lane guidance, multiple point routing, MP3 player, and be able to have routes d/l to it from a computer. 4.3 size please. I don't really care about mounting, waterproof, shock resistant, traffic, or stuff like that, as the majority of time that it will be used, it will be kept in a tank bag, or jacket pocket. I don't want to spend a fortune either, $200. or less would be great. The cheaper the better, as I don't expect it to be used too much. I'd rather put my money towards maintenance or upgrades on my bike, or gear. Thanks for any suggestions.

Did someone say Veal? mmmm Must be lunch time..I'm getting hungry

I've heard nothing but good things about the Roadsmarts. I have a pair in my garage waiting for me, but haven't tried them yet. Front/rear shipped to me for $200. Last months Tire Express/Competition Accessories special.

I've never tried them, but I always heard good things about the Vega boots. I'm male obviously, but I'm looking for some woman gear now for my female friend. Iron Pony is an awesome place to find what you like, then go check online stores for better pricing. Iron Pony does have a great clearance section, with some really good deals. Just go all the way to the Right when you walk in. It's the biggest place around that I know of. In my Opinion, while they are costly, if you educate yourself, and read reviews, http://www.motoport.com/ has the best gear. Probably going to spark some type of debate by saying that though. Followed closely by http://www.aerostich.com/. (Motoport's site sucks, they admit it sucks. Kinda small company, keep very busy from just word of mouth more then from advertising.) The amount of Armor/protection in Motoport gear is simply impressive, and unmatched. No other way to describe it. You see it, actually pick up the jacket, and put it on, you Will feel extremely protected. They custom make them to your dimensions too. Machine washable, don't even have to remove the armor. Either one of those two though, I believe would very easily last you 10+ years. Anyways, she can't afford Motoport gear right now, but seems to like the Scorpion brand. Says it fits her very well, and is comfortable. I'm not sure for women, but I know in mens, they have a Tall version of everything too. Adds another 2 inches or so. Reasonable prices usually too. Teknic is also a brand that she likes. Some good deals on that brand usually. I don't know much about them aside from they have some type of relationship to Knox armor. Icon makes some cool looking women gear as well, but I personally feel they are over priced for what they offer. Paying more for design, then for functions. Competition Accessories (http://www.compacc.com/) used to be a great place to go (Springfield, Oh). Iron Pony dwarfs them now though. Nice ride to there, depending where you are coming from. I haven't been there for awhile though, but they used to have great clearance deals. http://www.newenough.com/ is an awesome online store. Never heard anything bad about them. http://www.sportbiketrackgear.com is an awesome place too. Their monthly specials are usually right up there with the best prices. They have great video reviews on almost all products that they have it seems like. Only know of one person who had a problem with them, and it was a communication problem, nothing serious. http://www.motorcyclecloseouts.com/ usually has some great deals. Hope at least some of this helped you out

I braved the rain and headed home to Marysville. I ended up running into it around Dublin area. No worries though...Frogg Toggs really rock. I stayed nice and dry. It was fun though, and the pizza is really good too.
-
I'm going to head out there.

Welcome, another Marysville rider here, but I'm also in Dublin fairly often. Looks like I might have to start cruising Sawmill too now.

After being sliced 11 times in 10 straight months from last year/beginning of this year, and going broke badly from all the medical costs, not to mention all the mental, and physical suffering, cancer cure stories are great! Then they say things that the gov. won't approve it for many years, or there isn't money to be made, and that they would lose a Ton of money from people not buying the other cancer meds..I'd just like to say...Fuk Them! If I get that diagnosis again, I'm gonna be eating an entire freakin bush..maybe two or three of them. Yeah. I think I'd be selfish. What's the worst that can happen to me from it? I become a zombieish type of thing? I'll take my chances, and if it happens to me, I probably won't actually know it, it's just all you guys that would then start suffering!

Next time, I'm not gonna advertise the food, just mention Asian waitresses... Mmmm yeah that should recruit a few more

Tian Fu Buffet. Sorry, I shouldn't have been lazy and just googled it for everyone. mmmmmm Sushi! I'm hungry

Anyone up for a lunch in Delaware on Friday? Kind of early for me to eat, but Noon usually works for most folks. Just outside of Delaware is a really good Chinese buffet place. Just East of the city off of 36/37 and 521. Right beside the AAA place. They have one of the big hibachi grills and also a sushi bar that is included in buffet price. Mmmmm One of the best Chinese buffets I've been to. As much as you can eat, for less then $10. If no one can make it to Delaware for lunch..Marysville also has a pretty good Chinese buffet. Right in front of the Wal-mart, across the street from the Honda stealership. I would say Dublin area too, but I don't know of a good Chinese buffet in Dublin. So...Friday at Noon...Delaware or Marysville...anyone up for it?

I'm hoping to bring up the courage to ride with these guys again by that date. Seriously though, these guys are awesome. I made 2 or 3 rides with them last year. 9:00 is pretty early, but I suppose I have an alarm clock. Yeah, assuming no more surgeries, I'll be in the back of the slow group again. I have no ego, slow and safe is good for me. Someone pointed out the meeting spot is right beside speedway...might I suggest people filling up before heading to the meet up spot? If anyone else from Marysville area (or passing by it) I'll ride with you. Speedlimit'ish, it's about 45min from Wal-mart...so I plan on leaving at 8am from Wal-mart parking lot. Well head to the Speedway down there and fill up, then head over to the meet up spot. Be there by 9:00 easy enough. Send me a PM if you want to meet up.

http://stores.sportbiketrackgear.com/Detail.bok?no=4164 are what I have also. I love them. Very comfortable, and lots of protection. I found mine for a $150. deal, but they are gone. Looking back, I would have went with something more touring based for my style of riding, but for the price I paid, I really don't think I can complain. Pros: Experience in them is limited (400ish miles), but they keep my feet warm and comfortable in mid 40s temps Appear to be very well built, finish is great. Protection appears to be great, but I hope I never test them. Lots of ankle support when riding. Comfortable - I went out to eat with them, and while I was walking around, they are comfortable enough that I forgot I was wearing them. Neutral: Heavier then some, but that's the trade off for the amount of protection. While riding, the weight disappears, and they just plain fit well. Con: comfortable out of the box, but the toe/shifter area needs some break in. That's the only real negative I can think of. Get them, I don't think you will be disappointed at all.

Thank you guys very much for the suggestions. Think I'm going to have to go try some on and see what feels best. Was hoping there was a popular opinion of a boot to make it easier on me.
-
So, I'm not sure what I should be looking for, so I figured I would just ask. Obviously, I'm looking for some boots. I'm trying to not have to carry another pair of shoes/boots with me. Only can pack so much stuff, and with 2 people on a bike, even less stuff. Anything out there that can be comfortable to tour in for 5-6 hour days, and then be able to do mild trail hiking for a couple miles? Ankle support is highly desirable, waterproof would be nice, but not needed. These would be a situational type of boot for me, or backup for my main pair that I can't hike in heh. Thanks a lot for any suggestions
