  1. yay for good news! hope to see you out and about again soon!
  2. Do that through your helmet and I'll be impressed.
  3. then make the damn thing already, I'm starting to burn my popcorn over here...
  4. Japanese. Rest here: http://www.hemmy.net/2006/04/26/crazy-car-mods-from-japan/ As for the helmet, that's got to toss your head around like hell. Not to mention loud...
  5. It's very possible that they did their own maintenance, which makes it all the more important to have someone there who knows what the hell they're looking for.
  6. Hope you didn't blow your wad early...

    Yay!

Just made another deposit to the bank of IP today, picked up a clearance Scorp EX0-700. Good on you for finally coming around, Nick.
  8. This sounds awesome. Can't wait to see it's progress.
  9. Sometimes, if you're really lucky, popsicles will be had. Seriously though, it all comes down to maintenance. Depending on the mods, some will lengthen the bike lifespan, some will shorten the hell out of it. If you are going to get a bike that's been modded to hell and are unsure of it's mechanical integrity, have a mechanic or someone who you implicitly trust that has moto modding experience to look it over. Unless you rip that thing apart before you buy it (good luck trying to do that) there are a lot of things you might miss that the mech would pick up on. As far as maintenance goes, get a list of the maintenance that should have been done and ask which ones have been completed, then attempt to verify either through records or visually. Either they did the maintenance as required, they skimped out (walk away), or they told you they did and BSed you when you see they didn't (run away).
  10. Apparently I was there. Believe me, it was glorious.
  11. Would make him feel better though... I'm curious to see what happens the second time around. I know what's going to happen, I just want to know the manner in which d-jizzle stiffs Luna for the second time. No offense intended Luna, I figured at this point you're doing it for the same reason I'm still posting here, to see how much more lulz can be extracted from this seemingly bottomless pit.
  12. Yeah, um, have we met before?
  13. Just throwing money away. There are no front license plates for motorcycles, so the cop will have to aim for someplace else. Unless you want to cover the entire front end in that stuff (if it works in the first place) it's a waste of money. This guy: http://www.away-from-the-maddening-crowd.com/avoid-speeding-tickets.html has some interesting suggestions. I totally don't agree with squealing the brakes in traffic, nor with swerving in a cage to an adjacent lane, but you can adjust your lane position pretty quickly to avoid a laser lock. No radar detector will match your eyes, if you have a good idea on where the cops are at or where they like to play and know what to look for, you stand a much better chance. That being said, GL on the sale, this looks like an excellent bike.
  14. The way you seem to ride, how many times is that going to happen?
  15. Thanks. Gotta be hard for her to have to go back, thought she could use my bad jokes in person.
  16. I know it's late, but can we still visit her?
  17. "Usually you pay double for that kind of action, Cotton."
  18. Something tells me I really don't want to piss you off.
  19. Another vote for EBC HH's, I've got them front and rear. With the HH's it does become easier to lock the rear, so be mindful of that.
  20. As someone who has the yellow fever and the chocolate munchies, I agree.
  21. That all seems like it smarts pretty well. Are you at least mobile at home?
