  1. My Strom hauls my fat ass around very well. They can be quite comfortable once you put a nice seat on them. For 2-up I find the bike a bit top heavy, as she is a big tall girl, But the wife and I have ridden 80 to 100 miles on occasion with only minimal complaints from the misses.
  2. Working with him as I write this. Even has pics of cars already.
  3. I have tried to contact CarWhore but he is not taking new messages.
  4. We are looking for a small SUV like a Rav4 or CRV. My wife is soon to be a massage therapist and needs to haul a massage table and chair around. I have my financing set up through my credit union but the check/agreement is for a dealer at this time. If I change to a private purchase I have to reapply; which is why I've been focusing on dealers. Most of what I've found is very expensive and what is not real expensive is just expensive junk and with an accident history. To date I have found 2 vehicles that have my interest. A 4Runner-2003 with 60,000 miles for $12,400 and 2004 CRV with 80,000 for $13,000. Both are in Marysville. I just learned that the 4Runner uses premium gas so the CRV is my first choice. Thanks for the tip on CarWhore. I'll give him a poke. I appreciate all your help.
  5. I just wanna see someone bitch slap that toe headed bastard king.
  6. That was my first thought but the used car prices are only a little under new car prices and with the higher interest rates actually more expensive in some cases. Plus, the lots are teaming with used cars. Stacked bumper to bumper on most lots.
  7. Money is just too tight now. Can't afford 2 large car payments until the misses graduates.
  8. My wife's car is just about to go tits up so I'm in the used car market for the first time in about 10 years and boy have things changed over the past decade. Yes, I realize that everything costs more but most of what I'm finding is wrecked, or previously owned by sadists or just over-priced crap. During the past week of looking: At the dealers; 2 to 3 year olds vehicles that stickered new at approx $22,000, now with 25-40,000 miles on them are priced on the used lot for $20,000. Even more surprising is that 8 to 10 y/o vehicles are being offered at 60% to 70% of their original price. If the cars were in pristine condition maybe???? But many are not even in more than average condition and a good number have an accident history or are high-miles. Cars ready to be towed to the salvage yard are offered at $5-6,000. Private owners; Dealer level pricing for the same or worse crap than is on dealer lots. CarMax; My cancer was more enjoyable than shopping there. When did it become like this?
  9. The last time I signed up for this I got the magazine for 2 years.
  10. That's the one we are probably gonna get. The black anodized finish. It dry fires real smooth in single action and there is no notching or dragging in double action. There are no Rugers in stock and the Taurus models felt like toys. My only reservation is there is going to be a lot of bang for a light chunk of metal.
  11. I was looking at these yesterday. My wife wants a wheel gun for her purse and one of these may be just the ticket.
  12. This was at Vance. One box limit but I watched several employees hauling skids of it around while they stocked it under the knife counter and behind the main sales counter; not on the floor as is per usual. They also seemed to have reloading supplies as several guys were gushing about power and primers being there for the first time in a while.
  13. Desperately needed some 22lr for this weekend. Picked up a box of the 525 round Federal for $30. A little high priced but at least they had it in stock.
  14. Sorry to learn of this Ryan. I am a PT and even a slight tear in the rotator cuff needs to be treated properly for it to heal correctly. The rotator cuff is the tissue where 4 muscles attach to the upper arm bone at the shoulder. These muscles make it possible for you to lift your arm above your head. They also keep your arm attached to your body, ie the rotator cuff is what keeps your arm from following a baseball to home plate when throwing a fastball. When the cuff tears it is like pulling silly putty. It thins out then tears. And once it tears the tissue does not return to it's original position it just fills in with scar tissue. Have your arm assessed by a good shoulder doctor( I can give you the name of one) and see how bad your injury is. Rushing back to full activity before it is fully healed can really f-up your shoulder and be very painful. I am happy to answer any questions you may have.

  16. Yes sir. I thought that was you. It has been everything I hoped it would be. I removed most of those washers that were giving the seat a forward tilt and the seat is in a neutral tilt now. I had thought of placing some washers under the front but why mess with it if it feels good. It was a little slippery at first but after a couple of beer farts it now has a textured surface. The seat pan does have me sitting slightly closer to the tank compared to sitting on the gel seat but I adjusted to that on the first ride. That leaves more room for my wife when riding 2 up. I'm really glad you didn't like it.
  17. I've got about 27,000 on mine. Runs like new. And women think it's sexy.
  18. Got me a Corbin. It's like an angel cradles my ass in comfort. Gel seat= 2-3 hours of comfort Corbin= full tank of gas of heaven
  19. After 15 min on the stock seat I experienced pain akin to prison rape. I went with the gel seat and it was a great improvement for the money. It is available for you to try and it is also for sale if you are interested.
