Seriously, some soft music, bathtub full of strawberry jello, candle light.......That's a recipe for some fine Californication. You know she will let you put it in the dirty place.
I too have been using the Hoppes for cleaning but Dupont spray lube with teflon has been doing a good job as a lube. Doesn't appear to be as dirty after shooting as with a wet lube. Met a fellow when I was out shooting a couple weeks ago that swears Mobile 1 10/30 is one of the best gun lubes. Maybe I'll try that next time. It's a lot cheaper that most dedicated gun oils.
No facial hair for me but I'm commited to the cause. Found out I got prostate cancer in late July and I'm currently getting daily radiation until the week of Dec 10th. Get your PSA checked fellas.
I grew up in the country and my dad used to pick puff balls. This is the time of year when they are to be harvested. When cooking, they are best sliced thin, dipped in egg and flour then fried till lightly brown. The ones we ate were very similar to those in your pictures but I can't be for sure those are edible. I really never liked them all that much, it is an aquired taste. However, they did kill my tapeworm.
I have the Richland Rick's fork brace and it has really made a difference in the way my strom handles. Cross winds and the turbulence from semi trucks used to be a handful at times. With the fork brace-no problamo. Mine was about $70 IIRC. Now in fairness I also beefed up my front springs and raised the forks which also helped but it was adding the fork bace that raised the fun to scary ratio. I'm also a heavy guy which may be the reason the the brace made a big difference or bigger than for some riders. The suspension is a little soft for a larger person. I was having a lot of fork dive when braking and some stiffer front springs eliminated most of the dive when braking. If you weigh more than 180 lbs that may also be a mod to consider down the road. Let me know if I can help you spend any more money on your new strom.
If your strom doesn't have a fork brace you may want to look into that. A brace makes a significant difference in the way it handles and makes it much more stable in cross winds.
As a veteran I get my essential account free or nearly free. But thanks for the heads up. I used to be with State Savings before 5/3 bought them. State Savings had fabulous service-5/3rd, not so much.
What!!!...You were just slammin these yesterday. These are great pistols. Mine is a real tack driver now that I have the sights figured out. Lots of people complain about how difficult they are to take apart for cleaning but it is no big deal. If you can go to the bathroom by yourself you can take this pistol apart and put it back together.
Apparently the 9mm Gen4 Glocks had some issues with FTE's and FTF's. It was supposedly due to incorrect recoil springs used in production runs up through Sept or so of last year. It is a big deal to many internet armorers and You Tube commandos with videos of brass being ejected into the face and such but many never had that first problem. The .40 cal models seems to be immune to this. My Gen4 G23 kicks my spent brass 10-12ft to my 4 o'clock every time.
I was given a C-9 about this time last year. I have put about 300 rounds through it and not one glich. I had a little trouble hitting anything with it so I handed it to my fiancee and she can put all 8 rounds on the target easy-peasy. She really liked it until she shot my G 23 and now the C-9 just gathers dust.
