  1. He was pretty quick....in a straight line
  2. What are you goals with the car. Are you looking for 05.5+ new body cars I assume? Cause there was a model year split half way through 05. The new 2.0L is just a bigger diplacement, upgraded 1.8L T motor. While they tend to have a poor reputaton for coilpacks failing and other little gremlins the motor itself is dead stone reliable if maintained and as long as you don't try to make a million HP out of it. If your goals are a 300hp+ daily driver you've got the wrong car in mind. However, my 1.8T '99 has over 165K on the clock now, origional turbo, origional bottom end, etc that's been chipped for >100K miles. About ready for it's second timing belt service with NO major failures ever. Despite interweb rumors of horror stories with Audi's I swear my A4 is the best car I've ever owned...PERIOD. Andy
  3. ORLY... My 3.4 vs. his 3.8. Mine's 3300 w/ driver so it's got 300lbs on him too. Just to add fuel to the fire. While the NASA event appears full, the PCA event the following two days (18'th/19'th) it not at capacity yet and only $295 for two days. Andy

    hey people

Ehhh...she had pleanty of life left in it. Mine's at 165K and counting...stock turbo that's been chipped for >100K miles. It's almost scarry looking at your mod list how similar our cars are....Groov'd bilsteins (neusteins) and all
  5. All this hate for M3 fenders. Now I've gotta go take them off of my....oh wait they came on my car. AJ: Back is HOT. Strpies are luke warm. Don't hate them...don't love them. makes for a car that's different yet still subtle. I like it. Andy

    hey people

Welcome...your audi was very nicely done.
  7. bump for a well cared for car. It really is in outstanding shape.
  8. Ryan, Great effort on the lowers, well put together car that's cleanly done! Andy
  9. completely OT...when you gonna post some pictures of that S4 already?
  10. You wussies can come up with all the excuses you want...but here's another chance to put up or shut up. MORPCA is pushing this event pretty hard everywhere because registration is still pretty light and it's only a few weeks out. No requirement to be a PCA member...and $295 for two days at Mid Ohio is damn near a gift as far as pricing goes. (sure it's a Monday Tuesday...call in Dead or something for a couple of days) Hope to see you guys all there. http://www.morpca.org/page20/page24/page34/page34.html
  11. There are VERY effective methods of washing cars without a HOSE...and using very little water. Search for Optimum No Rinse or a product from Protectall called Quick and Easy wash. Both methods use 2 buckets of water combined with their product and I strongly recommend using a spray bottle to mist the area to be washed lightly first. HOWEVER, I've yet to see any of the water free methods that don't make a marred up mess out of the paint in the pricess
  12. I'd bet your rumors are pretty close to the truth. If they plan on having facilities built and a new track surface down to re-open next season under the new format and ownership the work is going to have to start before the track season is really over. Heck they usually run Fundays up into the middle of November but I"m guessing we won't get those late season days this year. Andy
  13. We (my brother(smokey) and I) go all the time...always post it up before hand and rarely does anyone actually go with us. That said...I've already got two other track days planned for August so I doubt I'll make Ledges until September.
  14. +1 Get someone to get this car back to looking as stunning as it should. Andy
  15. More description of Interior condition until pictures are available. Aftermarket radio has been removed...does this mean no radio or the OEM unit is back in the car? And are you getting code 1222 or 1221?
  16. I drive back home at night...probably a wash with gas prices these days between that and a Hotel but I can sleep in my own bed and be assured to be comfortable. Plus I live right at Polaris and it's like 45 minutes from my front door to the gate in the morning...not really a big deal. I have to decide by the end of the week if I'm doing this PCA event or another lapping day that I'm looking at.
  17. I've found MId week to be WAY better. Less crowded, more laid back, cheaper...really can't go wrong even if you're in a daily.
  18. If it's the 18th-19th it's a standard PCA DE. Still, It's def. a worthwhile time and $300 for a DE at Mid Ohio is fairly cheap...but it is on a Monday-Tuesday so that's why the rate is lower than normal for this time of year. I'm still trying to decide if I'm doing that event or an open lapping day with a different group. I'm leaning towards the PCA event as I'm hoping attendence will be lower due to being Monday Tuesday. Andy
  19. Erica...where'd you get $25 from. I thought the newsletter said $30 and the website confirms it. Just an FYI...make sure you've got $30 just in case. http://www.morpca.org/page20/page24/page22/page11/page11.html Andy
  20. Ehh...might go...might bring the wife to increase the lady driver count.
  21. Welcome, great lineup you've got there. I saw the Lotus on Polaris the other day...I really like the black/gold theme on the car. Andy
  22. mmm...I want one soo badly...just can't justify giving up two great cars for one slightly better car. The motor difference over my 295hp car is astonishing though.
  23. Cleanly modded car. Really dig the 350Z when they're done right. welcome. Andy
  24. Good thing I'm not a Dr. Welcome.
