  1. At this point the next question you have to answer is how much utility does this vehicle need to have for you?..the Mustang and M3 are MUCH more practical as daily drivers than the Vette's. Not that you can't daily drive a vette, but you constantly deal with practicality issues that you don't have with the other two.
  2. Heck a FC with a 4.3 like Tinman's would fit the bill too....and be really cheap. BUT his origional post said Stock or very close to Stock...not sure how all these swap suggestions fall into that category.
  3. No....I can never see his attachments.
  4. All, Thanks for the love in this thread. Ron: Glad to hear that you were taken care of despite it not being me doing the work. Andy
  5. Mike, Do you guys guarantee color match on repairs? One of the 19's for the Audi has some rash that I'd like to get fixed but the wheels were a custom anthrocite finish and I'm paranoid that if I have the one wheel fixed that it'll end up a different shade. Andy
  6. I tried Anthrocite 5 years ago...still not a big following: http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/ZainoDetail/IMG_0977.jpg
  7. man...I really really want one of those!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. ...'cept I won't be able to reach the pedals once you get that seat hard mounted! David, weather looks to be crap this weekend anyhow, might be your best bet to bow out and wait for another weekend when the car's back up and running properly. Andy
  9. +1...but I don't see Keith on here very often.
  10. Same money and allows you to go fast in soo many different ways than you already can. http://www.lgmotorsports.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=345_397&products_id=1558
  11. I'll go check out Lowes tonight and if all else fails I may take you up on your offer. Thanks Andy
  12. I need to make a tie-down for a lightweight battery that I'm putting in the 996 and need to find a piece of aluminum or like that's approx 1inch wide and 19 inches long. Any leads on where I might be able to source something like this? Andy
  13. Don't get me wrong....I like the murdered out look, but I'm completely over the flat finish thing both on paint and wheels. All black is fine, but it better be polished to perfection. Andy
  14. the sad thing is I really like the whole Idea behind the 'club racer" version of the S2000...but the wing and front lip are just all wrong on that car.
  15. Depends on if you want open transport or enclosed transport. I could see $750 ish for open trailor transport. If you want enclosed transport and proper treatment for a "special" car expect to pay $1800-2500. I paid $1750 nearly 2 years ago now to ship a car here from Seattle. I'm guessing with fuel prices those rates have gone up a good deal.
  16. Back in the 80's when it was hot I think they called it "monochromatic"...not exactly a slang term but a reference none the less.
  17. I have a few clients that request details like that...they're also kind enough to feed me and provide me with lifts and other accomodations to make my stay as comofortable as possible. Usually split the work up over 2-3 days to get everything completed and charge $500-1000 depending on what needs done. For custom work it's $50+ an hour. Heck, I did an engine bay detail on a '68 Shelby a couple years back that was a $350 job. ...however, on a Jetta...??? Andy
  18. I'm FD stupid so I wouldn't know...i'll bring my brother (smokey) with me though if I make it up. Andy
  19. Ford GT...or C6 Z06 CTS-V as a daily.
  20. Seems like all of the good roads are really busy in recent years. Can't think of the last time I got a clean run up old 315 even early morning without catching traffic. Heck...can't even go out and catch a good cloverleaf too often without running into traffic. I do enjoy an early morning blast from 23S > 270W > 315S. It's a short stretch but can be rather fun. Turn around at 161 and come back the opposit direction and do the full cloverleaf at 270 & 23 \END. Andy
  21. I passed on the NASA event becuase I'm going to be there the following week with PCA. Might stop up and observe though. Andy
