  1. Those are the after track photos from when I started to clean the car up to get all of the rubber boogars off of the car. The black paint completely burned off of the pipes the first session of the first morning...pre-spin
  2. The latest track look for the 996. Looks horrible but drives like a dream (once the tires come up to temp!). http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/ZainoDetail/Picture001-1.jpg mmmmm...negative camber http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/ZainoDetail/Picture005.jpg http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/ZainoDetail/Picture007.jpg my sweet pep boys muffler bypass pipes. Saved 56lbs off of the most important end of the car for <$10. They even sound cool for the first 7 minutes until you realize they drone at highway speed and give perma-headache instantly. However I can actually hear my car at the track now over the other cars. http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/ZainoDetail/Picture008.jpg
  3. Ha...thanks bro. I'll show you how old I am next time we're at the track and you can't keep up with an old man in your superior track car.
  4. Is it just me or has this spring been the most miserable, grey, rainy spring that I can remember in a long time? For the last 4 weeks, every time I look at the 10 day forecast there's at least 8 days of rain out of the 10. I've lived in Ohio all of my life and never remember it being THIS bad. Can't we just get a break from all of the rain already!!! It's making my schedule complete hell!
  5. Costco had a coupon last month where you could get a case of 6 quarts for $21.99 with the coupon....otherwise I'd be all over this deal. Andy
  6. not sure when the last time was you guys checked the weather but it's supposed to rain tonight now, nice all day tomorrow though and unfortunatly I'll be building a deck all day!
  7. Bump for a solid car. My 1.8T is at 160K miles soon still on the origional turbo that's been chipped for the past 100K miles. As long as they're maintained, these cars will be great drivers for a long time. Andy
  8. he makes a good point....you can get a '02-'03...and MAYBE even an '04 for $30K or less. The biggest potential issuse is that only the '04's would have any warranty left. That said, my '02 has been bulletproof other than regular maintenance. 333hp 8000rpm redline big trunk sets 4 as well as a GTO sexy (IMO) http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/ZainoDetail/CRRollingPictures095copy.jpg
  9. I have to admit...I'm one of those people who rode in it and was impressed. I could probably nit pick a few things about the car but I was very closed minded when it came to the GTO and was really suprised at how nice of a car it really was when I got some seat time in one. I'd suggest something other than a GM product as well but if I remember correctly the only way for you to get out of the lease on the GXP early was to go with another GM product now correct?
  10. Maybe I'm thinking of a different car, but wasn't this car wrecked when Jerry bought it...back in the Forced Fed days?
  11. not me....since it's still rockin the 15' snows due to a bent 19' wheel I only drive the Audi when I need to lately. Andy
  12. Ha...Sticker Shock! Matt, Thank you for having us out. I'm glad we were able to get some life back into that 5'er for you. Enjoy! Andy
  13. Tim, You're too kind. It's always a pleasure to do work for true enthusiests and I'm glad we were able to get it worked into my busy schedule. I look forward to seeing you out at some meets in the future! Andy p.s. Outstanding photo.
  14. +1...I don't know how you did it last time...it was freakin cold.
  15. +1...it was a regular C5....but how many Black TT cars can there be.
  16. Tim, Thanks again for having me out. It was nice to meet you and the family and it was great doing business with you. Can't wait to get my hands on the GXP in the near future. Andy
  17. Here...I'll add fuel to the fire. After taking the BMW side for what I feel is the best car per the OP's requirements....I'm actuall looking at buying an S4 right now. It'll be a B6 V8 car though!
  18. I find it somewhat funny that he pretty much decided on a Vette and we keep going back and forth on the S4 vs. M3....
  19. side note...did you do K04's or something more interresting when you upgraded? oh...and I know where there's a REALLY nice Silver B5 S4 for sale if anyone is after one...I was shocked at how nice it was actually and that doesn't happen often. Andy
  20. hummm don't get me wrong as I'm an Audi guy at heart and really either is a solid car... but my best friend had an 99M3 and his one of his girlfriends had an '00 S4 and stock for stock there was nothing in it. (240hp and 3100lbs for the M3, 265hp and 3300lbs for the S4). now throw a $500 chip in the mix for the Audi and it's a different story...but the M3's still got the handling advantage. I'd have to think that at the age of both cars we're talking about that the potential maintenance costs of the S4 would be much higher due to the Fragile early K03 turbo's. Andy
  21. Easier to get in and out of, less overhang to scrap on driveway entry, and while i realize the Vette has a decent trunk space it's still not as useable as the others due to the high liftover to get items into the trunk....plus you can put the seats down in the mustang and M3 and you've got Massive useable space. When I take my M3 to the track I put a 12 x 12 canopy, 4 race tires, jack, jack stands, tools etc all in the car with me and go. Again, I'm not stating that a Vette can't be daily driven...I've considered it many times and by no means would I not buy one because you can't daily drive it. Despite that, it's still not nearly as friendly as a daily as the other two. Obvioulsy the all around performance is going to be the best in the 'vette so you also have to factor that in. Andy
