Whats up this is jordan with the white offensive S2000
AudiOn19s replied to RUEHL925's topic in Introductions
It's a 10yr old 911 that my wife daily drives. I don't really have a "fast" track car by any means. In all seriousness...have you seen that the Sale of Nelson Ledges is all but complete. We should arrange another trip for those of us that want to go in the next couple of months as it's unknown when the new ownership will start building it into it's new country club format. Rumors were that construction could begin as soon as August at which time the Fundays we now know will no longer exist. Hal...get that yellow beast together so I can see what straight speed is all about....see if you can top the speeds I experienced when I rode in Tinman's SB2 FC last year up there. Andy -

Funny how when quotes like this are made on CR they get burried and no attention. Can I get in? I'll bring the 295hp car...the pretty red one my wife uses as her daily driver. Jorday: I like the car and esp the white on white. There are some things that I don't care for but it's not my ride. Welcome. Andy -
Did they ever really stop dig racing on the freeway? We did it 10+ yrs. ago when I was more involved in the scene. I know roll racing has become more common...but I don't think that dig racing on the freeway ever went away.

Damn...saw the video a minute ago. Def. two CR members cars were shown.

I'm planning on going tomorrow as well...I just don't even remotely have a clue what time I'll be there.

who did the tint that they didn't cover the matrix to begin with? Quality did my tint on the A4 and M3 and both have dot matrix...both had tint installed over it and both are still holding strong in those areas YEARS later?

Hoblick: car looks great. R1: Outstanding color combo.

Hummm...is this more just a smart wording and phrasing use for a very simple thing? He's stating 110mpg but is he stating per gallon of "Gasoline" vs. just a gallon of fuel. Cause if all he's done is convert the car to run on E85 and then spinning it that there's only .15 gallons of gas per gallon of E85 it'd be pretty easy to get 110mpg of Gasoline when your fuel source is only 15% gasoline? just a thought here 'cause I call BS on the power /MPG figures as well if we're talking about total fuel consumed vs. gasoline, esp since running E85 uses more "fuel"...while still using less Gasoline in the process. I'm betting it's just a straight E85 conversion and clever wording.

Might as well have. Writing stuff like that on dirty paint will lightly etch the surface and leave behind the writing. Pisses me off every time I see someone do that. They don't realize that they might as well have just key'd the car becuase it created almost as much damage.

Yes...factory fill for most modern Porsche's is 0W 40 Mobile1. HPFiend: Not to turn this into an oil war debate as it seems to be something that everyone has a VERY strong opinion on...but I do think the quality synthetic oil is totally worth it for the small price you pay to know you're getting the ultimate in protection for the car, not for the extended change intervals or minimal power advantage. I think it's safe to say all of us here drive our cars more agressively than most and in doing so test our oil more as well. Weather it's 1/4 mile racing, roll racing, tracking at a road course etc we all put much more demand on the oil so why not make sure you've got the best? I run Castrol Motorsport oil in the M3 and Redline in the 996. I can't remember the last time I've gone >2500 miles between changes on those cars. For the daily driver I use Mobile 1, drive the car like an old man and still change it at 5K mile intervals despite oil analysis advising that I could extend my change intervals. Better to be safe than sorry if you ask me. Andy

997 or 996 GT3? If it's a 997 then I bet I know the guy...and I sure hope he's getting oil for his Ford truck and not the '3. Middle aged guy, thin with brown hair and mustache?

Trying to finish up a project and I need to clean up some threads to get everything put back together. Unfortunatly NOBODY sells a 14 x 1.5 die locally. I've got the part off of the car...can take it wherever, I just need these threads cleaned up with a die to finish this up (already tried a thread file). Can anyone help me out? Andy

I posted this on TrackAddicts too...Mixed emotions about this. It has the potential to give us another great facility within driving distance...but it takes our already loved facility with CHEAP lapping days and likely does away with those.

Did someone say dumb purchases???...nah...never made one

it's still behind the front wheels though...just as the seats/interior are all ahead of the rear wheels. i'd be everything balances out pretty well. 1400lbs, Yoko. r-compound tires, >200hp...I bet that car is a blast to drive.

Humidity plays a role in streaking as well. Just something to keep in mind. You may try using the product again on a low humidity day and see if it performs better. (multiple)Thinner applications as well. Most synthetics on the market today are designed to go on soo thin that there should barely be any residue on the surface while the product is drying/curing. Since you already bought the stuff give it a second chance before throwing it out. Andy

And don't forget this car went to Nelson Ledges last week and survived an all day long track beating without a single complication. I was impressed. Andy

hummm...how mad will the wife be if I go two weeks in a row??? ???

E36 is 95-99 like Chris's (smokey) sig E46 is 01-05 like my sig. E90/92 is 06+...well except they actually sold the E92 sedans in 05.

This thread has taken a humerous turn. May I suggest, from a detailers perspective, maybe a water baloon vs. the egg? Still funny but without the damage that an egg will cause. (even if they are being stupid and deserver it). Andy

Dunno...I'm still gonna say if you can swing it the 335i is the most rational choice for a professional who still wants something fun and entertaining to drive...not to mention it's got warranty as well which I know for most of us here who DIY most of our stuff isn't HUGE, but it's still big. 335's are making 385hp / 420ft/lbs at the crank with just an ecu flash which makes for a pretty entertaining driver. http://www.e90post.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=129046&stc=1&d=1203040719 Andy

I'm an Audi guy at heart, and I know they're very similar cars...but the Gallardo is still much sexier to me. I will own a white one! (when I'm 70 and too old to enjoy it). Andy

+1. We may need to know a bit more about what you do, who will see this "compay" car etc. Taking a new, potential client to lunch in a car they associate with the movie "Fast and the Furious" could present the worng image. Andy

Gents. For what it's worth, I got an e-mail back from Kerrie @ nelson and the entry fee has been changed back to $120. They raised the price at the beginning of the season but reverted back due to gas prices. Andy
