  2. I have a strong feeling it's going to suck. I also have a strong feeling I'll watch it anyhow then bitch about how badly it sucks.
  3. Nope. There are two other red aero cars like mine in town. One has turbo wheels and the other one that has the same wheels as my car sits about 12 inches higher than my car does I had to work yesterday.
  4. Despite your comments about the CCW's being too common, I think their C14 and C10 are the best wheel for the money on the market right now. Where else can you get forged wheels in any custom fitment you want for $2700. http://www.ccwheel.com/files/gallery/corvette/c5/c14/4l.jpg
  5. I need (2) M12 bolts in 130mm length. Thread pitch doesn't matter. Any clues where I might be able to get these TODAY? Tried: Zettler Hardware, Roush, Andersons, all of the major chains, NAPA, etc. I understand there's several Fasenal locations in columbus but it appears as though they're not open today AND i'm not even sure they sell to the public. Any other ideas? Thanks Andy
  6. http://www.andymobiledetail.com Anthony G: Thanks again for having me out. It was a bit more challenging than usual but glad I could get it cleaned up for you. Try not to get it too dirty on the way to the show today!
  7. Thanks Gents. Kirk, enjoy your new adventures. Pleasure working on those beautiful cars. Andy
  8. Awesome to see that you're going. I wanna ride in your beast. Andy
  9. Better half and myself http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/ZainoDetail/Pic4.jpg
  10. -NO passing without a point -Passing only on the left -Passing only on front straight and back straight (prior to the kink). you should come
  11. No they don't check. This is about as Hillbilly as you can get for a track day, but they're suprisingly well run and more fun than you can imagine.
  12. Odds are it is, not too many of them floating around. I *think* the floor was fixed when they welded in the roll bar....as was the rear diff that was an issue as well. Andy
  13. Helmet yes. Also, unlike other lapping days there really are no restrictions on passenger ride alongs. So if anyone is coming to spectate bring a helmet as you'll be sure to be able to catch a ride along with someone. Water and food is a good idea although they have a concession "trailor" that has some pretty good eats if you're not able to bring a cooler. Andy
  14. I know several of you here have shown some interest in getting on track with my brother and I (Erik, Derek, etc) and Nelson Fundays are a perfect opportunity for a low(er) cost open lapping day. Details: No early signup committment, simply show up on 6/20 and pay ($130 drivers, $5 spectators) at the gate. Manditory drivers meeting at 9:45, open lapping sessions from 10-12:30, Lunch 12:30-1:00, then green track again from 1-4:00pm. Usualy there's 2 or 3 rungroups and is the best track time per $$$ spent of any event I've ever been to. **However...there's no instruction provided or available unless you bring an instructor with you. Suggestions: Flush brake fluid and make sure you've got pleanty of brake pad prior to attending. We usually leave at 6:30 for the drive up in the morning. Looking forward to seeing if any others are interrested in joining. If there's heavy rain in the forecast for the 20th, there's another one on the following friday that we will attend instead. Andy
  15. Auto Assets carries their products if you need a local source for them.
  16. Steve: I won't argue with you on the Adams stuff being good products. BUT both Adams and Poorboys are just Chemical guys products that are repackaged and sold as a different brand. Chemical guys didn't sell to the public until about 1.5 years ago...but now that they do you might as well go straight to the manufacturer and save yourself a few bucks next time you need to get stuff. Andy
  17. 303 Aerospace diluted with distilled water works pretty well too. Still a bit too shiny for my tastes at full strength.
  18. Not to self-promote or anything (http://www.andymobiledetail.com)
  19. Yeah...and Boo all at the same time. ZoomZoom: Try SprayWay glass cleaner, you'll never want to use the Invisible Glass again. I really feel Zaino sealants (Z2 and Z5) are the best on the market for what they do. But what you have to realize is, like everything else in this thread, a single product isn't going to make or break a deatail...it's the process first that's going to get results and then the products are just going to add a little extra (whatever adjective you want to place here) to the results. Andy
  20. +1...at first glance I thought that was Kirk's car until I looked closer. I'm not a fan of the look either...my track wheels are black but that's becuase of all of the brake dust and buildup crap that track wheels take. Street wheels will not be black on my cars anytime soon....just not my thing. BUT...it's all just a personal preference in the end. Should we really care?
  21. I'm gonna try to make at least Friday. The GT3 cup races and Speed GT/TC stuff is going to be the best to watch. It's cool to see the ALMS cars in person if you've never seen it, but the racing itself is usually pretty boring. IRL has the potential to be a good show.
  22. Well put Brian. I've never met Cavin but I'm almost sorry I posted the link to 6-speed about his car. Each time his name comes up it's a guaranteed 3 page rant about how he doesn't drive his stuff like he should, or at all, or is too young to own that "serious" of a car. Personally I think it shows great restraint and being mature beyond your years to not go out and do something stupid until you're comfortable doing so in those cars. He's obviously warmed up nicely to the GT2 because we hear more and more about it.
  23. Didn't he get it the end of last year? http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=127088
  24. +1 on the G20...it was a tastefully modded car. Good looking Mini...just wash the wheels next time prior to your shoot!
  25. Technically yes the 910 was a street car. 962 yes is classic...I just tend to identify more with the 917..particularly in the Gulf livery The GT1...really???...it's like someone added on an Erbuni body kit to a standard 911.
