  1. Brian, One last note. I'm not sure if you've ever attempted to remove 1500 marks by hand but it's a daunting task. If you're having troubles it might be well worth your time and money to do the sanding work yourself and then have 360 or myself buff them out and do the finishing work for you. Andy
  2. Is it scratched through the clear? You have to level it off with the surrounding clear to make it go away (wetsanding, buffing , etc)...the problem is if the scratches are deep enough then you'll be removing all of the surrounding clear in the process of making the marks go away and that's pretty counter productive.
  3. That's a real good question. I don't know my Lincoln history well enough to answer. It has an orange light facing forward almost like it's a turn signal but it's only present on the drivers side.
  4. This car got something a little different than the norm. wash clay Heavy comounding via Rotary polisher Finishing polish via Rotary and Orbital polisher Liquid Caranuba wax base applied with orbital Pinnacle Soveran paste wax by hand Zaino on wheel centers and lips. -Andy
  5. Have you missed my "= Detailed" threads. Havn't had any up in awhile becuase I broke my camera (again) and have been too lazy to get around to getting a new one until now. This is Mike's 1969 Lincoln Mark III that I prepared for GoodGuys. Lots of real estate to work on but it turned out very nice and ready for the show. Enjoy. http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/ZainoDetail/L3.jpg http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/ZainoDetail/L16.jpg http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/ZainoDetail/L6.jpg http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/ZainoDetail/L9.jpg http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/ZainoDetail/L14.jpg http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/ZainoDetail/L2.jpg Andy

    Morn'n

Welcome, I was going to make a comment about the Kidney name...but most here would just think that it was in reference to a human body part. Glad to see some more European rides around here. andy
  7. NASA does both at the same time.
  8. I intend to make it up to do some observing as long as a certain mustang that I'm detailing doesn't beat me up too badly I'll try to stop by and say hello if I make it. Andy
  9. Ha...I did check out your car as you passed in front or me!
  10. I usually get them from Target but havn't been able to find the NXT there in awhile. I'm sure they're sold just about anywhere.
  11. Megs NXT or Megs Gold Class are both on par with the Zaino wash and at a much more reasonable cost. Andy
  12. Chris, The car looks much better with proper ride height....icing on the cake for that car. Details on the Suspension setup? Andy
  13. Protein or Enzyme based cleaners work well...you can generally find these easiest at Pet stores as they're common for removing pet odor. As Michael stated...cleaning the area is one thing...extracting the area is another very important thing...even a good shop vack can be used for this. Saturating the area and letting it dry will not remove the smells. Saturating it and extracting all of the water will help. Andy
  14. Hoblick. My apologies...I was completely out of it...windows up...radio blasting and I saw you completely last minute waving at me...to which I tried to return a wave but which only resulted in me hitting the window. Detailing two cars in the heat that morning took a good bit of energy out of me. Thanks for the compliment on the car.
  15. In no way do I want to be part of this argument...but curiosity has the best of me. When you roll race from 80 what's the ending speed? I've never raced anyone on this board nor do I have a car that could keep up with the majority of you here so I may be uneducated on the topic, but my impression was similar to what Colt stated...in that roll races usually span a speed interval of 80-100 mph. So are you racing from 80 to 160-180? andy
  16. Welcome. Anyone who posts their mod list starting with track tires and suspension bits instead of go-fast parts is all good in my book. Andy
  17. I got some solid seat time in a 996 GT3 last weekend...one of my clients told me to take it out for a bit before I cleaned it and give him a comparison of it vs. my car....It was an Amazing drive...I can only imagine what the latest evolution of that car is like. Andy
  18. http://www.teckademicseast.com/forums/showthread.php?t=30901 *edit*...so I'm reading this thread and look at page 2 post #28. Sig pic is "The Supra". Does this mean it's coming back to Central Ohio or is someone just a fan of the car? Andy
  19. This is one of the more interesting solutions that I've seen. Plate holder that mounts in the front tow hook location on the car. However I wouldn't rock this every day but if I knew I was traveling esp on say a holidy weekend it could be worth the effort to display a front plate to avoid any issues at those times. http://www.moweraxle.com/index.html
  20. I used Intercity last year. Took them forever to pick up the car and the delivery time was nearly twice what they stated that it would be (over 4 weeks)...but the service itself and the way the car were treated was top notch. Cost $1700 to get a car here from Seattle with fully inclosed transport. Andy
  21. Gents, I detailed this car yesterday and can vouch for the fact it's a very nice car and well put together. On top of that the Owner is a top notch indivdual. I could have BS'd with him for hours (and did). Andy
  22. Don't forget that Grand-Am will be there June 21-23. IMO the grand am series puts on a much better show. Both will be worth attending though. Andy
