  1. Even though I'm a huge BMW fan I'm going to back you up on this statement. The N54 is a great platform but long term reliability is yet to really be discovered. Most of them are just now starting to really get some good mileage on them to where bigger issues would be cropping up and we all know the fuel pumps in the N54 cars are alreadying showing to be something that's pretty well guaranteed to go bad. I personally think the 330 is a better choice for a reliablie daily in the long run.
  2. I sure hope not. He's like the Dale Jr. of Formula one. Great name, no talent to back it up.
  3. However the E46 platform...esp that 3.0l motor is REALLY REALLY reliable, requires very little maintenance. When you need parts there are lots of sources AND even if you want OEM parts Tisher bmw sells wholsale parts online. Yes you'll need to plan on doing control arm bushings and trailing arm bushings, if you buy a coupe the window trim WILL fall down on a summer day, it's not going to be trouble free but our old E46 325 was the most reliable, enjoyable car I think we've ever owned. You never had to worry about the thing, just get in, drive and enjoy. "regular", older E46 cars are stupid cheap too for what you get. I think the ZHP 330 would be a great choice though despite the premium you'll pay for it. Andy
  4. sucks...he's a real talent. We were stuck sitting next to a bunch of Kubica fans in Monaco last year..they were a rowdy bunch!!!

  6. I voted white in your poll but that color looks really good. There's a WRX at work in the same color that I took a good look at and it's a really cool color in the sun!!! Enjoy!
  7. ESP when I'm basically sitting here on the couch being supportive and not REALLY doing much else right now At least Porsche is winning GT 
  8. We're down here in south Florida visiting family and I had planned on getting in the car and going up to watch the finish today but things got in the way so I'm stuck watching it on TV
  9. PM "smokey" (my brother). He picked up an '07 a few months ago for his wife to use as a daily and they are really enjoying it
  10. My own personal snow plow. Won't clear speed bumps with the snow tires yet rarely gets stuck. http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q192/ZainoDetail/wiinter002.jpg
  11. Ed Claeys at Dent Solutions is also VERY good at what he does. Used to be mobile but I believe he now has a shop setup over in Gahanna. However, I think that particular damage is not going to be fix-able via PDR. Andy
  12. I went to Fleet Feet on Polaris and was very happy with the service. Same drill as most of the other runners stores. Ask you what your needs are, if you're experiencing any pain currently, watch you running and walking on the treadmill to properly evaluate the correct shoe for you. Very happy with my experience through them. I have really flat feet and the fact that they not only carry a good variety of shoes that work PLUS wide widths means I'm in the right shoes for me when I leave.
  13. Sometimes I think that my wife's car isn't really necessary since it gets 12mpg on average. When I kicked it down on the freeway this morning and spun the tires @ 60mph it put a stupid little grin on my face and I remembered why the 12mpg is worth it. We just enjoy the crap out of it.
  14. Welcome, great collection of toys you've got there! Andy
  15. post a picture of the damage. I might just have a little experience with black B5 Audi bumpers.
  16. Since we're on the topic of electronic music here's my little contribution. Above & Beyond has a live 2 hour broadcast every week that is then posted on iTunes as a podcast the next day. It's completely free and always a good listen. Search "TATW" (Trance Around The World) on iTunes and you'll find all the weekly episodes. Like anything the popular stuff gets repeated for a few weeks but there's always something fresh and new, I really enjoy their sound AND the last 30 min of the broadcast each week is a guest DJ set that's always worth a listen. Best part is it's all free. I have purchased VERY little music in the last couple years since finding this podcast. It's always fresh and up to date.
  17. blocked at work. I'll check it out at home as I'm a big fan of Deadmau5.
  18. Steve, great job on keeping it clean. I generally hate blue cars, and I really hate black wheels, however for some reason everything about that car works for me. Well put together. Andy
  19. Maybe. I hate that there's curbs on the outsides though...they need run-off area in order to be as agressive as I want to be.
  20. What's a Round-About? I thought ODOT was just building us skidpads for driver training??? The one over by my work is used heavily by me on my lunch hour on nice days
  21. For the longest time I was using the Logitech Momo force feedback wheel and really couldn't figure out why the others would be any better. ...BUT my wife got me the G27 for christmas and it's an amazing leap forward. The pedals on the G27 are sooooooooo much better particularly in brake pedal feel. There are a couple companies that take the G27 pedals even a step further adding a hydraulic cylinder to make then even more realistic. She also got me a playseat too. It's completely transformed the experience of sim racing. I've been even more addicted to iRacing since. For GT5 I'm not sure the G27 is necessary...probably a bit overkill actually since it seems like the inputs for the PS3 are pretty limited. I think any old wheel would work just fine for GT5 play but the G27 is still pretty cool. The PS3 specific logitech wheels are much easier to configure for the PS3 though if that's all you're going to be doing. If you intend on trying out rFactor (highly recommend) and iRacing (REALLY REALLY recommend) you might want to spring for a better wheel. Andy
  22. not a wrist shot...but this is what I"m wearing today. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=22&pictureid=4628
  23. I played for 10 years. Ages 4-14. My mother was a teacher and I hated the fact that it was forced on me so when school got in the way I used it as an excuse to walk away and never go back. I sometimes think about taking it back up but the last thing I need is one more time consuming hobby in my life. Andy
