i still think ill end up with an XD, but i want to consider all options first

yea the kimber is more, which is why im asking if the quality of them justifies the price difference....xdsc can be had for like $400 on sale...the kimber is $800ish if im paying that much it opens up a few more options too...so im shopping around

i was looking at a few taurus guns today as well...but once the kimber caught my eye, i wasnt interested in any others lol....taurus is still on the table, when i go to buy, i will be trying a lot of different ones to see how they fit...might even look at a sig p220r compact

im looking at a .40sc....but i saw the pro carry II today and the quality made the XD look cheap lol... but im reading that the kimbers are more maintenance, more picky to any dust or lint etc that might get in them during carry, etc....im kinda feeling like the XD would be a better carry gun but the kimber would be better for the range.. but i wanted to see what people thought about the kimbers for concealed carry...ive got 3 more months until im buying anyways, so im trying to do my research on a side note.... the price difference in 9mm and .40 is more than i thought lol

BUMP - im looking at xd subcompacts....but i saw a pro carry 2 at gander today and it was such a nice looking gun....are the kimbers worth the extra money over the xd?

still gonna have to disagree man...private parking lots are different from public roadways according to what youre saying, a police officer could drive through iron ponys lot and ticket every bike on the sidewalk, regardless of whether or not they have permission to be there. cars parked outside of dealerships on the front walkways would also be parked illegally and subject to tickets. i just dont see it man.....guess we can agree to disagree, unless you have some way to prove it to me without a doubt, because im still gonna say not and a parking lot is not "a thoroughfare for purposes of vehicular travel"....thats why if you drive through a parking lot to ditch a light, you can get a ticket...but if you take a side street to ditch a light, you cant. one is intended for travel, the other is for "parking"

that still doesnt clarify. is a private parking lot considered a road way?

chebby - i dont think the walk way in front of a store like best buy etc is considered a "side walk" by law....im not sure if you can get a ticket for it or not, probably only subject to tow if the owner doesnt want you there
