I like the Sprints quite a bit. Do yourself a favor and test ride a VFR1200. The handling will absolutely surprise you, and the 145 rwhp V4 is quite nice. They can be found deeply discounted.

When my CBR, sells I am seriously considering picking up a scooter in the 125-250cc range. It'll be for under 55 running around town and perhaps teaching a teenager how to ride. I need to test ride a Zuma 125 and an Smax.
  3. Good reasons not to go to a dealer for non-warranty work.
  4. The Duc that Rossi rode just was't competitive. I think this year's Ducs are being held back by the riders.
  5. This. Seems like Honda and/or Marquez lost the 'secret sauce' they had last year.

I prefer SSSa. It makes tire changes simpler.

It's like putting a Accord motor in an F1 car.

^^ I agree that the US market is no longer a top priority for Honda. But the power limitation is US specific (there are other power limitations for other countries), why bother making this bike, with a true GP style exhaust, noise compliant to US regulations by limiting power?? Just uncork it as off road only and bypass all that nonsense. A $185k street bike...with real Moto GP tech...a thoroughbred race motor that's artificially restricted to only make about 100hp?!?! How many things are wrong with that sentence, besides the grammar mistakes? If Honda were an alcoholic, this would be their cry for help.
  10. What would it be worth fixed up with a rebuilt title?

A pocket gun needs to go bang every time. Trigger pull and accuracy at distance are OK to have but they don't really matter. If you are in a self defense situation you're not going to try to finesse it like a target trigger or even use the sights.

Taurus' generally aren't considered highly reliable. I equate them to Kel Tec...inconsistent. If you get a good one, it's be just fine. If you get a bad one you might be better served throwing it at a potential attacker.

If you want a fun .22 the Ruger SR22 (still have) is hard to beat. The smaller .22s like the PT22 (I've had 3) or the HP.22 (still have) are no where near as reliable.

I can hit my target just fine with a Bodyguard .380. It's not a target trigger, but it's not supposed to be. It's by for the most reliable .380 I've ever shot, and that includes the LCP & Glock 42 which I just sold. I personally don't think the LCP is in the same league as the Bodyguard. The only other .380 that interests me is the Kahr. If your looking for a range gun 9>.380 anyway. The ammo is cheaper and there are many good options.
  15. Some of that old 70's equipment sounds better than most of what you can buy today. I have a few of them including one of these old Sony receivers. It sounds damn good and will rattle the windows.
  16. A Pioneer from that era making 100+ watts per channel could be worth over $1k in good working condition.
  17. The dept couldn't at least give him a BMW or Concours to ride?
  18. Some vintage stereo gear is worth a surprising amount of money. The stuff worth the most is from abut 1975-79, when companies were first making high powered receivers. The stuff worth the most is Marantz, Pioneer, or Sansui with the big gaudy analog look

    RC213v-s

It sounds like it could almost be raced in Moto GP by a satellite team (with race kit). It still makes no sense why it's a street version that's dumbed down to make less hp that a 12 year old CBR600RR. Why not sell it in full power mode as "off road only" like the H2R?

This bike seems quite pointless. Ultra high tech...neutered.
