I read once (not positive it's true) that Hero is 2nd to Honda in motorcycles sold world wide. I doubt if any Hero models will be sold in the US as is, except for maybe a scooter. EBR has been working with Hero since 2011 on R&D projects. I strongly suspect those projects were to develop Hero models for the US. I bet we'll see Hero models to compete with the Ninja 300 and the CBR500.

Geoff May announced he will be racing the new 1190RX (not the RS) in WSBK next year. Also, EBR will be distributing Hero motorcycles in the US starting in 2014. I suspect that Hero $$ will be used to establish the EBR dealer network.

I'll trade you a Mossberg 702 .22 rifle.

I dug up my 2012 HD Fatboy "review." http://www.coreriders.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=2671

Incorrect, but thanks for sharing your opinion.

It'd be like choosing which finger to smash with a hammer, but at least there's some decent capability engineered into the GW. The GW motor is actually pretty impressive.

Might be interested. How quickly does the shield change in different conditions?

This sounds interesting: And one final note: EBR is taking its 1190 to the World Superbike championship in 2014! Riders have yet to be announced. http://blog.motorcycle.com/2013/10/16/motorcycle-news/2014-ebr-motorcycles-1190rx-preview/

^^ Where is this strong Aprilia dealer network??? I've never seen it. Ducati's dealer support is better than Aprilia, but it's no Honda.

I think everyone that bought the RS for 40k knew that the mass produced model would have some nice improvements and cost 1/2 the price. It shouldn't be any surprise. Hopefully, the next one is even better and less expensive. The reviews & comparisons should tell us if it's worth 19 large.

It looks much better in the official photos.

High prices. Mediocre service. I used to get tires mounted there. I never felt comfortable using them for anything else. They charged a good friend over $1k to service an older Suzuki. I didn't run right after, and they didn't stand behind the work.

There used to be a jump on 676 when headed into Marietta. It was a small hill. If you were going over 70, you would get airborne.

You just need to have faith (Actually the evidence that supports evolution is pretty comprehensive and compelling. Most that don't believe in evolution have a vested interest in another belief system that makes them either unwilling or unable to consider other possibilities)

The scientific part of my brain knows that 8k is fine. But the part that likes to tinker with the bike may not be able to leave it alone that long. I've heard people recommend changing oil before winter and/or in spring, but I've never seen it in an owners manaul (I have seen change at least every 12 months in the manual though). I think modern synthetic oil can handle a large amount of contaminants before it degrades. Plus, my bikes don't exactly sit over the winter

If true, this would be absolutely fascinating. I wonder if this research attempts to explain the rise of Islam or any other religions. I would consider this information with an open mind, but my bullshit detector would be on standby.

Back then they were bronze hats.

^^ There was an article on the Barracuda 2 in the May 2010 Cycle World. It may be the only article written on the B2. It does look a lot like that photo of the 1190RX.

I've never seen any real reason that oil needs to be changed in the spring. Any moisture that builds up by less frequent running over the winter would evaporate within minutes. The oil's composition would remain unchanged.
