    03 sv1000s

Here are the details: 2003 SV1000S - 9,100 miles as of today. Never down or dropped. Runs excellent. Everything works. Cosmetically, I'd say 8.5-9/10, not perfect as there are a few stone chips, but it's a clean bike with absolutely no rash. Tank is nearly perfect. Ohio title is clean & clear. $4,200. Aftermarket parts: --LSL Superbike Bars - If you've never had one, these LSL kits are top quality and are good for all day comfort. I've done 500 miles in a day on it & could have kept going. --Dual Micron Exhuast - Sounds like a proper twin. Not overly loud. --Power Commander III USB w/the Micron map installed. Dual compound Bridgestone rear tire installed this week. Comes with: Stock triple clamp and clipons. NIB set of matching grips if you want to install the stock bars Steel braided front brake lines, never been installed Suzuki shop manual and owner's manual. Locally, I've had a couple offers to buy the LSL kit. So, if you don't want it the price could be adjusted if it is removed.

************SOLD************** So, I was half-heartedly trying to sell the SV, then I impulsively bought yet another motorcycle. So, now it's for sale for real. 2003 SV1000S - 9,100 miles as of today. Never down or dropped. Runs excellent. Everything works. Cosmetically, I'd say 8.5-9/10, not perfect as there are a few stone chips, but it's a clean bike with absolutely no rash. Tank is nearly perfect. Ohio title is clean & clear. $4,200. 5. Thanks. It's available and looking for work. And I almost forgot to mention the custom made super duty swingarm spools (previous owner worked in a machine shop).
  6. That's a ZX6E. They are plenty comfortable.
  7. I'll bet you could get this for $2,200. http://ashtabula.craigslist.org/mcy/2586468041.html
  8. Based on this SV sale thread, mine should be worth at least $10k http://www.ohioriders.net/showthread.php?t=74848&highlight=craigslist I have it listed with an asking price of $4,200obo.
  9. Dealer is dropping Suzuki and Hepco Becker. It's a never titled 2009 Suzuki Gladius (was already interested in these) that was used by Hepco Becker to demo products. Comes with Hepco Becker top case, side cases & engine guards. And the guy is throwing in some other HB stuff including a few more side cases that I'll most likely sell on eBay. Still not clear on everything he's throwing in. But for the $$ I can't pass it up. I was wanting a lightweight sport tourer. This should do nicely. Plus the GF can probably ride this one, where the SV is too big for her, and no one gets to ride the Buell :dontevenask:
  10. It's unusual, has hard bags, and is a smoking deal. 3 things I can't resist. It's from a dealer dropping a few product lines, and just wanting to get some stuff out of the showroom. Some details are still unclear. I'll post a few pics tomorrow.
  11. Check my track record. I am impulsive with motorcycle purchases. In a related story, there will be an 03 SV1000S for sale very soon. Complete with LSL Superbike bars, dual Micron Exhuast, PCIII USB, and a new rear tire installed by Pauly on Tuesday.
  12. So, I seem to have accidently bought another motorcycle, and I need to pick it up tomorrow. Is anyone near Cleveland willing to loan me a trailer for this Saturday?
  13. 650R = Parallel twin SV650 & 1k = vtwins The feeling seems to be that the SVs will out handle the 650R. This is a non-issue for a novice rider. It wouldn't be an issue unless she gets to the point she is exceeding the handling capabilities.
  14. You are bidding on a 2009 Suzuki SV650S It has green leds all over the bike and on the rims and mirrors with turn signals built in. It has a k&n filter It volicity stacks It has a power commander 5 with auto tuner The swing arm has been streched 12" It has 1" gel seats covered in green leather. The bike has about 9000.00 in extras. I have the factory swing arm that comes with the bike should you want to change it back to stock. $9,000 in extras, REALLY? Gel seats must sell for $8,500
  15. Re: Plugging the trigger. If you buy a used bike for a fair price there is really no risk. If for whatever reason you don't like it or find something you like more later, you should be able to sell it for about what you paid. Unless you drop it. I've done this many, many times (not the dropping).
  16. Sure. Not sure what shipping will be. Maybe $10-15.
  17. How about $12k for a custom SV650S? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Custom-SV650S-/260857360100?pt=US_motorcycles&hash=item3cbc4f6ee4
  18. I can't wait to see how much the Screaming Eagle coolant costs. I heard it's made from ground up pieces of leather and chrome
  19. I never knew of this until I went to boot camp.

This. I generally won't offer advice to anyone unless they seem to be a danger to themself or others. But, when asked, I'm happy to talk lines, body position, technique, mindset, etc. Dave, the guy on the other Buell, has more miles under his belt and knows more about riding than just about anyone. Asking him a few pointed questions would help anyone become a better rider. When I started doing group rides with CORE years ago, I rode with some stellar street riders. Following them and asking questions has helped me immensely over the years.

^ You looked like you weren't feeling well. That leaky fork seal would have had me stressed out.

Everyone in that group, at one time or another, wasn't 'feeling it' and decided to go hang in the back for awhile. For me...confidence and smoothness dictate pace. Some days that puts me toward the front, other days toward the back. Pauly posted something a while ago, along lines of...don't try to be fast, try to be smooth and fast will come. It's true. Don't beat your self up too much. Mistake are useless unless you learn from them.
