  1. Sorry to hear. I rode with you once on a CORE ride. You were smooth and quick from what I remember. That's a hard reminder that it only takes 1 curve to turn a good day bad Sounds cliche, but it could have been worse.
  2. CA can form their own country for all I care.
  3. Give both bikes a few more races and more development and I suspect they'll get closer to the top 5. Keep in mind that EBR has all of about 12 employees. The same people that are working on the street bikes are also the race team.
  4. I'll bet it does. No front brake, rear drum brake, and Fred Flintstone foot brakes...you need big cojones to take that beast in traffic
  5. A real chopper from before the fanboi chopper reality shows. Interesting bike...not for me, but still interesting. In front of the right pople it should sell. Out of curiousity, can you turn without dragging parts?
  6. 4cyl=smaller pistions=higher rpm=higher top end hp 2cyl=larger pistons=more midrange=flatter torque curve Not necessarily just i4s, I think 4cyl engines are better than twins for road racing. Look at moto gp, the two top bikes are i4 and a v4. Honda is supposed to be releasing a v4 literbike that is a step above the CBR1k. For street riding, even aggressive street riding, twins are better suited to my riding style. I spend most of my time in the midrage, so that's where I want power. I've never noticed my V2s or V4s being any more/less reliable than i4s I've owned.
  7. If you were closer, I would be all over this.
  8. Occassionally you'll see a RE5 Wankel on eBay. I'd like to ride one. I would not like to own one:)
  9. I've had 2 3rd gen Magnas. Definitely a fun motor. Good handling by cruiser standards, too.
  10. I've had quite a few V2s and I4s. I prefer the power delivery of twins.
  11. I keep this one in my tail bag along with a plug kit. http://www.slime.com/product/111/Power-Sport-Tire-Inflator-(%2340001).html
  12. After riding yours, I'm going to reinstall the stock clipons.
  13. Yesterday, I was feeling pretty good on the south route. But, once we had a gravel issue on 260, I started riding pretty defensively. Most of our group hadn't been on 260 or 255 before, so no need to push in those conditions. Come on a CORE ride, that is one of the usual routes back to NEO.
  14. yep, Urichsville is the end of the fun stuff, but that route is one of my favs. btw, fixed 78E>7N(less than a mile)>556W>145N>148W>800N. That will connect to 250 and then 83N>home
  15. If you're in replanning mode...how about this: After 255, ride 800 N a few miles to Woodsfield for gas, etc. then... 78E>7N(less than a mile)>556W>145N>148W>800N. That will connect to 250 and then 83N>home Not sure how the miles compare to the planned route, but I know these roads better than the ones we rode today. They're cleaner, and it's a fun twisty route back to NEO.
  16. btw, 255 is officially closed. If you're not put off by the signs you can still pass. Oh and ohdaho that was one of the better saves i've seen on a long time decreasing radius, blind, and gravel is trouble. Good on you for keeping focused the rest of the day.
  17. I wound up sneaking onto this ride. The SV was respectably quick it's first trip to SEO...even with the Shit-ko tires the last owner installed. 260 and 255 were pretty gravely. On 260, about 2 or 3 miles south of 78 there is a sneaky decreasing radius left hander with a gravel trap that you can't see until you're already committed to the turn. So, watch out for that. I broke off at Woodsfield and rode solo on 800N. Nice meeting Lammie, and the guys from Wright Pat...oh and Justin too.
  18. What is the rollout time from Circle K? And who is actually attending?
  19. I could ride either day this weekend, but I'm leaning toward Sunday.
  20. I'll probably get out on Sunday. The Buell's down for the 12k valve check, so this will be the first proper shakedown through the twisties on the SV1K.
  21. A FNP-9 just made it's way into my safe. I've yet to fire it, but the build quality seems top notch.
