Thats exactly why I got a DRZ. The Vstrom is fine on the highway and good on gravel, but its a handful when it gets a little tough.

The DRZ I can easily pick up and makes tough roads easy. Gravel is fun. It will do highway but that is no fun on a dual sport.

Really I should have both and ADV and a dual sport but funds and garage space is lacking.

That's kinda why I like the Versys 300x.  It strikes a good balance.  It's fine on the highway and good enough on gravel and dirt, and under 390lbs.

I'll buy one as soon as Kawasaki puts the Ninja 400 motor in it, which is hopefully next year.

I had PR4s on the Duc and they stuck like glue at a "not-so-touring" pace, but the Angels I replaced them with gave a lot more feedback when pushed hard. I prefer the Angels, as they're cheaper and just as grippy.

What kind of mileage do you get out of Angels?

Angel GTs have much more grip and last a bit longer than Roadsmart 3s in my experience.  RS3s are honestly the least grippy ST I've tried, in a couple hundred thousand miles.  I just pulled the the RS3 rear off my bike today.  Complete garbage.  Dunlop will never touch my motorcycle again.

Comparing the Angel GT to the RS3 side x side (I literally did this today). The Angel GT's profile allows for noticably more lean angle.

The only positive thing I can say about the Roadsmart 3 was that the wet grip was pretty good... that's it.

Slabbed to meet the Wunderboys last night. Today was 438 miles of Appalachian shenanigans. Had some river trout. Showed Tony the race line on WV-20. Time for a shower, some beverages and maybe a cigar to reward a ride well done. I want to ride Tony's bike, but he used up all the sticky stuff. Perhaps next time?

    yes.

if you get hit with 1 droplet it starts small, then grows over time and allows your immune system time to get ramped up. if you get hit with 1000 droplets your immune system is essentially getting nuked from everywhere all at once.

Source?  That sounds different than what I  remember from biology classes.

Buddy posted a video of some squid splitting lanes doing 120 down a busy 23 (main street here in Columbus) . An hour later someone else posts up a wreck, people ID the bike as the same bike in the video. Kid proceeds to post up saying some lady "pulled out right in front of me". People call him an idiot for doing 120 in a 35. Kid starts talking mad shit, goes straight up racist, his older meat-head brother jumps in and starts threatening people with violence, his criminal record gets brought up - he's facing 2 felonies and prison time. Kid continues running his mouth from his ICU bed, starts a gofundme for medical bills, wants to fight everybody in Columbus Riders and Columbus Bike Life (both main squid groups in Columbus), starts contacting people he thinks are in biker gangs to go beat people up for him, biker gang people tell him to go fuck himself then post screenshots of their chat. Kid calls them racial slurs.

Pretty much I'm leaning towards this kid wanted to die, tried to suicide into some poor lady's car. Survived. Now wants to piss off someone bad enough to come finish the job. 🤷‍♂️

    So, yes.  Definitely entertaining.

    Except for the gladius.

I had one.  I upgraded the suspension and added Renthal bars and it railed.  Still ugly though.

I had a SV1000 also.  Still on the road with about 100k on the clock last I heard.

Yeah..  In the beginning I was also impressed with the president's actions. I was convinced I was voting for Trump all the way into May & June. His most recent about-face and dismissal of the situation is where he lost me, but I will make a deal with you. I will wait for the second half of this video before I cast my vote.

My eyes are always wide open.  Do I think Trump is doing a great job?..no.  Do I think Biden is capable of leading?..also no.

But, it doesn't sit well with me the the Dems are fine with the economy tanking and Covid spiking as long as it means Trump doesn't get re-elected.  That is an epic failure of leadership that is well above and beyond anything you can lay on Trump.  Sorry.   Calling that treasonous would not be not out of line.

The blame lands solely on the president. It is his role to lead the nation. He hasn't been passively causing harm. He has actively subverted science and testing to whatever agenda they want to pretend doesn't exist. Our leadership is laughable. When we let morons do dumb shit that endangers themselves, that is  called freedom. When we let morons do dumb shit that endangers the infrastructure of our healthcare system, that is called enabling. That is a huge red flag that shines a bright light on the maturity level of the American public.

All the president had to do was put on the damn mask, get on the damn television and tell the American people that he knows this shit sucks.

"I knows its hella inconvenient and makes this year suck royal balls. Like it, or not, a shitstorm of suck is heading our way. No, we did not create it. Yes, China fucking sucks. However, if we would like to avoid the worst of the shitstorm, then we need to come together and fight this on a united front. Pretending this isn't a big deal is irresponsible and I will not allow any Americans to die needlessly as a result of the apathy of ignorance and greed."

Economy saved to the very best of American ability and efforts. Americans united for the first time in his presidency. Flatter curve on the spread. He would have my vote come November.

Discounting a very real threat is dangerous leadership and not something that should be dismissed due to the stock market figures. Working within this threat is how we overcome it. This is the new normal, at least for the next few months. People need to get that shit through their thick skulls and stop making petty excuses for not helping out.

You are certainly entitled to that opinion Paul.

Correlation does not equal causation. The reopening, indoor gatherings and idiots not wearing masks caused it. The protests were outside, MUCH safer than what the freedom crowd is doing.

    Stop making excuses for dumbasses.

I used to trail brake exclusively with my rear. Then @what told me it was dumb. So I stopped. Now I just downshift to oblivion or stop being a bitch and carry too much corner speed. Now? My brake pads are mint and I buy tires every other week.

Not sure about your BMW, but on mine when I pull the front brake lever, the bike decides which brakes are applied based on some German algorithm that considers many factors.  A light squeeze on the front brake lever will only apply the rear brake in certain situations (you can actually feel it in the rear brake pedal).

It's actually a really good system and works seamlessly.
