  1. I bought this to record some footage on my motorcycle and lost interest. I've used it once and since then it has just sat in the box.

GoPro HD Hero 3 White Edition (w/ box and mounts it came with)

-Also includes extra mounts from another GoPro that I got rid of a while back.

-32GB Class 10 microSD card (the hero 3's are microsd)

-GoPro Chesty mount (for mounting the go pro to your chest)

The white edition has all of the wifi goodies built in also (you can use an app on your phone as a view finder, to adjust settings and also to start/stop recording and taking pictures)

Asking $200 obo, more than willing to negotiate.

  2. Correct that the Aero models offered in 08-09 were the TBSS clones. I didn't realize the 5.3s had AFM, but others have already given you the best ideas to help it. It'll never stop though.

That's what I've been reading. It's been reliable and I haven't had any issues with it and I use it to tow toys (motorcycles and ATVs mainly) and I drive it to Myrtle Beach twice a year. Never left me stranded. I think I'm just going to keep putting oil in it and drive it. Worse case scenario it blows up and I go find a 6.0 pull for it

  3. I'm not sure which engine it has because the 5.3l refers to a V8 but the inline 6 has a 4.2l displacement. So, which engine?

    .

I stated in the first sentence that it has the 5.3L LH6 (v8 vortech motor)

If this is an "X" I think he has an ls2 guys.....I hate to see any oil consumption, but usually these eat oil through the PCV system and Getting a catch can doesn't stop the consumption, but it will keep it out of the intake air where it can coat parts and mess with combustion as well. I know a TOn about the TBSS Platform, and Im pretty sure these are almost identical when it comes to the mechanicals under the skin, If you need anything done or looked at, feel free to contact me and I will help you out the best I can.

They're the same platform for the most part. It doesn't have the 6.0 in it, I don't think the LS2 was even an option until 2008 for the 9-7x.

I drive the thing maybe 100-150 miles a month. I change the oil in all of my vehicles no more than every 3,000 miles. From everyone I've talked to so far I think I'm going to change out the PCV crap, turn off the displacement on demand crap, and change the diff fluids and drive it. Sounds like the worse scenario is even worse oil consumption

  4. I'm having a few issues with my Saab 9-7x, the drive/power train is all GM (5.3l LH6, not sure exactly which trans is in it)

One of the issues I found a TSB on but cannot find the actual TSB documents (SB-070417001D) causes a clunk/thump in the rear end at stops and sometimes the drive train binds up (drags?) when reversing, I've typically only seen this while reversing in a turn but the clunk happens quite frequently when moving from red lights.

Oil consumption has been another issue, it's been eating about a quart every 1,500 miles or so. I've heard this is a common issue on these motors and apparently most of the dealers end up doing pistons, rings, lifters, and AFM valves to correct it.

So, anyone with experience on this platform; Should I really worry about these until something breaks?

  5. Microsoft and Corporate will charge $200 per machine to keep writing security patches for ones still in service, that's what I've been told by those above me, anyway.

Thanks for the links, we actually use Mochasoft as one of our terminal emulators, but I am not sure if it will have the functionality he needs. The other we use is Attachmate.

Might just be something internal, MS generally kills all support in general at end of life. Could also be something new starting at XP, who knows.

I've never used mochasoft unfortunately so I couldn't say, and I hate Attachmate with passion. I'll ask some of my buddys that are more involved with mainframe work and see if they can recommend any good W7 alternatives.

  6. Get your self a correct sized twist socket, hammer it on, and hope for the nut to move or the stud to break so you can get it off the car. You can get a cheap basic set at most auto parts stores by Irwin, works good, about $20.

Blue case, yellow letters...can't tell you how many times my Irwin twist sockets saved me arse.:thumbup:

Make sure when you DO get that rounded nut off, you throw it as far as you f**king can and curse the day it screwed with your exhaust project!

Yup it just saved me big time, picked a set up at autozone this morning. Hammered the correct sized irwin socket on it and stuck a 3ft piece of pipe on the end of my ratchet came right out along with the stud.

Can't believe I didn't know these sockets existed until today, thanks for the help guys!

  7. Have tried using some heat to help free up the stud or nut ?

I hit it with PB blaster over night, then hit it again with pb blaster and heat, let it sit for 20 minutes and it rounded. Going to get a set of extractor sockets and try them if that doesn't work I'm just going to weld another nut on it

It's probably totaled. Contact Jet Auto, I've heard he can get you a good deal on a new 'stang.

Thanks for that extremely useful information....

Thanks for the tip, my dad just told me about those sockets so I'm going to give those a try

  8. So I've finally got around to dicking with this mustang I've got and am in the process of finishing up a long tube install... I ran all of the top manifold nuts off with a ratchet no problem, the bottom rear-passenger i couldn't break loose due to the limited room to get leverage on a ratchet, so I busted out the impact.

The impact didn't break it loose all, it did was round the nut.

I tried grabbing the stud itself with a stud extractor but there isn't much thread for it to bite onto and on top of that the extractor I've got is too big in diameter to clear the flange for the mid pipe. Any suggestions or anyone willing to help for $?

  9. I'm very partial to craftsman stuff as that is what I grew up using and that is the make of almost all the tools my dad left me when he retired. He gave me a real nice & old set of fine tooth ratchets that I've beat the hell out of almost every weekend for the past few years.
  10. Anyone know where I can find Warsteiner or Maisels in/around Columbus? They're both of german orgin.

Warsteiner is a light somewhat bitter pilsner and Maisels is a sweet lager with am almost dark caramel color.
