This. "1998 Honda CBR 600 F3 37k miles. Runs well!! New brakes, new chain, new Pilot Power tires, f/r, just changed oil, etc. The bike is in very good condition, but not perfect. It has a little bit of road rash and was missing a fairing when I picked it up two years ago. Right now it has the black rear piece which is the only part that isn't original. Pre-oiling the filter is so it takes less time for it to move through the filter and onwards through the engine but you probably can't put much in since the filter mounts sideways? This may not keep you light from coming on. That may have literally been too little oil in the system.

Yes sir, I think all of Aprilia's 1000cc motors are dry sump. Nice knowing you'll never have oil starvation but it's a bitch to check the oil level.

How long did you run it? I know my light won't go off for about 15 sec after starting but I think it has something to do with the dry sump.

I really think I'm going to buy one of these. How do you like the storage and how good is it at staying on the rear seat?
