Same procedure as a Honda RC51.
  2. No front stand. No ceiling rafters in the garage to hang bike from. I need to stop being a brokedick and just buy a front stand but college pwns me.

I don't quite follow. I mean, yes, that's exactly why really. No dealership will touch it even just for a tire change. Meaning the only place to do it would be the Ape dealer in Cbus at Iron Pony. Not having it taken all the way up there.
  4. I have had this tire at the house for a while. But bike location = Dayton and Don location = Flint. Failboat. So I called up a few dealers to see if they would remove the wheel, mount a tire, and remount the wheel since I'm not there and don't have the time. Nobody will touch it. Even told the Honda dealer it's the exact same service procedure as an RC51. No dice. Nearest Aprilia dealer is Cbus, which I'm not gonna make my Dad ride all the way there. So I'll wait till I get home and ride it up to Dustin and have him take care of my new tire issue. Supporting the little guys FTW.
  5. Doh! People are scared to touch the Aprilia which means I can't get a tire till Saturday and will just be tooling around on backroads by the afternoon, so I may be staying in Dayton afterall. Most of you have my number anyways. Text or call, doesn't matter.

Meh, enough of my bitching. I'm out anyways. No dealership will touch my bike "because it's an Aprilia" to uninstall and install a damn wheel before Saturday. So, I'm taking it to Dustin on Saturday to get the new Dunlop mounted and will just be playing around the Dayton area for the day.
  7. Look good, the only thing that concerns me is that you say they are "half-zip with a lot of velcro". I'd think if you went down and the boot caught it wouldn't take much to undo the velcro and you risk losing all of the boot's support or it flying off. Am I correct in this assumption? They look pretty BA and not as flamboyant as say Sidis or other Pumas.
  8. That's just what I wanted to hear. I've been keeping my eye on one.

I'm a pussy. I'll still consider going, but my gear is only good down to a certain level, if it's 35-40 degrees when I leave the house, that's really gonna be pushing my comfort level.

Google maps says 1 hour 36 min to the church. I usually drive it in the car and it's about 1 hour 10 min or so, gives us some buffer time incase anything were to slow us down, like for instance, stopping at a gas station to warm our hands. I'll bet it won't be above 45 degrees before the group leaves if the high for the day is 54.
  11. Sounds like it. Hell, I may not ride at all. 55 degrees is effing cold.
  12. You can sightsee while going fast. I do it all the time! Entry point, apex, exit point, road till the next curve. EDIT: Dealership failboat.

The Aprilia doesn't like anything below 70* F and 40 mph. I'll hold my decision until the last minute. Also, the CSBA thread says they LEAVE at 9:30. Which means we need to be there by 9. It's going to take 1.5 hours to travel from Dayton to Cbus at a decent pace and we need to leave a little buffer just in case. 7:30 am departure from Dayton 9:00 am arrival to Cbus 9:00 am fuel, food, warmth 9:30 am depature for ride

I really don't want to wear my textile jacket, but I may have to. If it doesn't get any warmer this may not be a fun trip. Cold pavement, cold tires, and cold people is never a good mixture.

I think I will be doing it. I really need to get my tire mounted from a different state. Lol. This will be hard. We'll have to leave town by 7:30. Ugh.
  16. $7000.... No wonder some people don't buy it and take the risk. That's probably more than you paid for the bike.
  17. You know how I ride Nick. Suggest accordingly.
  18. I may have to leave town by 5 or 6 pm with the bike in tow. So I can't travel all the way to Cbus and back unless we're home by 5. That's an up-in-the-air plan though so I would be interested in the CSBA ride if I don't have to leave. I REALLY need to get the new front tire on if I'm doing that though.
  19. I'm gonna go GoogleMap fishing and see if I can come up with a nice crusin' route around the area, probably south of Dayton. I'll post up a meeting spot and time once I've decided on where to go. Sound good?
  20. Didn't you find a few random roads that were nice besides the normal route?
