I would probably suggest the accessory harness kit for anyone going with 55w HIDs. I wish I had gotten one for both the bike and car. I NEED them for the car, but the bike is running without one for now. Hoping I don't kill the headlight harness.

BMW, I think you'd be looking at this setup. Or something close to it. If both lights are on constant, 55w seems like overkill. But if you like overkill, more power to ya.

Now I'm confused too. Ahhhhhhh. This makes sense. Post #20 in that link. So the projector (H7) and the reflector (H4) are both on at the same time, then when you hit the high beam, the H4 turns on a second filament. Hmmmm, so it looks like you'd need an H7 single bulb kit and an H4 hi/lo style single bulb kit. Don't take my word on this though. Go out, turn on your bike, and if both the projector and reflector both light up in low beam mode then you know that you need what I listed above. If not, back to looking at the diagram.

Your reflector (H7) is your low beam, unless someone changed it. FYI, install: http://www.gsxr.com/showthread.php?t=35016 Yes, they run warm. I'm keeping an eye on that right now because the Aprilia's headlight is easily prone to cracking from excess heat. It doesn't seem to be getting too hot right now, we'll see.

55w 5000k is basically pure white on the roadway. Veeery nice. BMWFS, is your low beam the upper bulb or lower bulb?

I wouldn't suggest HIDs for high beams. Takes too long to warm up the bulb and the quick high/low switching puts a big load on the whole system. I suggest low beam only.

It wasn't a parade, trust me. It was actually three groups. Beginner, intermediate (me), and expert. Each group was led and swept by a local or experienced rider. The only time the whole group of 30 bikes was together was at the stops. It actually worked quite well for such a large group of bikes.

I've ordered twice from them now, one was for three sets of HID kits and one for a single set. Both orders came in promptly, 5-7 business days, both orders were correct, and I've had no problems dealing with them. My one issue with them is their flat rate shipping. So, make sure you get everything you want put into one big order, otherwise you pay out the ass for shipping for a small order. It's like $15 shipped for anything from 1 HID kit to 5 kits.

Where you been boss? They have been priced like this for a while. I bought my kit in November of '09 at that price. My headlight you saw on that last ride was a DDM-Tuning 55w 5000k HID.

I didn't want to pay both Ohio tax AND shipping. And I was boooored. Ended up getting a 120/70/17 Dunlop Sportmax Q2 for $122.

Went down there to pick up a tire and some brake pads. They have a nice little shop off of 275, and they cover just about every aspect of "sport". They have sportbike gear, touring gear, and can get a whole bunch of stuff in. They also carry Suomy, Shoei, HJC, Icon, Alpinestars, etc. The guys I worked with were really good, could find things fast, and the prices were very good. I plan on going back. That is until you have quality issues with brazing which doesn't allow a complete bond, the shear strength is lowered, and it become much easier for the material to separate from the backing plate. But keep on spewing techno-marvel sales ads.

I'm not a fan of blasting down straights to get to the next corner, wind buffet above 120 mph is annoying and you can't avoid it unless at full tuck. Don't let your ego get too big.

Ahhhh you finally dropped in. Perfect example here, JRMMiii was riding faster than I last time in Coshocton, I noticed he was behind and instead of feeling the pressure to push harder into corners I waited for a straight and waved him past. Now that wasn't so hard was it? Fast in front, slow in back, experienced in sweep.
