  1. I know... You passed some info along, and I passed some info along... People can make up their own minds on what they want to believe.

I have 390 miles on my tank before i'm due for gas anyway, and with < 10 miles roundtrip, I might not need gas until late July.. Especially if I ride in on the nicedays.

Gas next door to me is $3.72 right now. I'll pass along if it changes in the next 72 hours.

  2. And unless you have a better source than a copied email, I don't think I'm buying it.

I just checked on gasbuddy.com blog, no mention of this. How much you wanna bet that if I google TransCanada pipeline it'll turn up not-so-credible links?

Like I said, I have gotten a few of these and each time it has been correct. I don't have any other "evidence".

  3. Do we need a front plate...?

Ohio has required a front plate since 1908, except for 1944-46 when Ohio wanted to conserve steel for the war effort, according to Bureau of Motor Vehicle officials.

The idea of getting rid of the front plate comes up regularly in the General Assembly. The Legislative Service Commission estimates that eliminating the front plate would save the state up to $1.65 million a year in production and distribution costs.

  4. Probably like the old days, when we took one or two of a four headlight system out and put in ram air ducts. Dunno....

Not a good idea when it rains...

This was gonna be my guess. Buddies used to pull their car headlight out when they raced at National Trails because the air intake was right behind it.

  5. does this affect diesel? its been down a lot in the last week....ponyjr said he got it for 3.50 in westerville, i found it for 3.89 in reynoldsburg....still 4.19 in blacklick for some reason lol, but thats at somalimart so im not surprised

I don't know about diesel, I never pay attention to those prices. lol

  6. I have been getting these emails and they have been right every time. So I'm gonna pass them on to you all.

Price hike warning! Wholesale gasoline prices rose sharply yesterday in Columbus. GasBuddy discovered that earlier today, TransCanada reported a shut down of its major pipeline that delivers crude to the Midwest. This has led to a sharp jump in wholesale prices. Be ready for a price increase to $3.95-$4.09 in the next 72 hours. Odds of the increase are 70%. Fill up for less if possible today.

    Thanks,

    The Gasbuddy Team

  7. I think it's fine. It's up to the parents. Are they skilled enough to have a passenger? Is the kid smart enough to know how to be a passenger? Heck, I was probably about 10 when my dad let me ride on the back of his '89 Kawasaki Eliminator 900.

  8. I used to make fun of people for spending $150+ on a pair of sunglasses just because they said "Oakley" on the side, but since I got a pair M Frames from the military I now understand. They are the most comfortable glasses I have ever worn. My pair is pretty beat up now and I really want another but cringe at the prices.

  9. I wonder if the novice helmet restriction has a negative effect in that it is sort of a status symbol to be able to ride without one, i.e. "I'm not new at this."

Hmm...I never thought about that before. Make sense though. I remember making a similar comment after my year was up. Although I still wore mine. :)
