Negative. I think not wearing a helmet is stupid but it is not the government's responsibility or right to interfere with my choice. Me not wearing a helmet has no impact on you wearing one, or not. I do not need a law to tell me that hitting the ground at 65mph with a helmet gives me a better chance of surviving than had I not been wearing one.

It's not so much the hitting it on the way in or out of the car that concerns me. It's having a rock jambed between the car seat and your butt while driving.

These are more for wearing at the 3 o'clock position, just like a cop. As for it being there in the car, you get used to it.

You get used to it while getting in and out of cars. I used to hit it but not anymore. As far as drawing, it's very natural and very quick. The cant is adjustable to what you like too.
