  1. Awesome ride for the best of causes. It was great meeting more people from Ohio Riders finally. Think OR had a good turn out.

I got chills as we rode past all the flags. I went back to the field after QS&L to meet up with my family. It was neat to see the wall and people leaving tokens at the base just as they do for the one in DC. Remember our service men and women. All of themn gave something, some of them gave it all.

  2. Thanks for the help Fonz, you went above an beyond to try and set something up. There was one PGR there this morning with many flags. I don't know if he was anyone from here but it was much appreciated.

I'm glad you got home safe and sound. Welcome back to the good ole US of A. I would have tried to been there but had to be at work.

  3. Non issue. If you want a true issue, look to the reliance on BP to do the right thing rather than taking control of the situation. BP is a foreign company beholden to the stockholders, and the wellbeing of our coasts and those that derive their income from the waterways aren't their first priority....

Who cares if a seemingly qualified person was approached for a job.

    Because it violates USC 600?

The White House asked former President Bill Clinton to talk to Rep. Joe Sestak about the possibility of obtaining a senior position in the Obama administration if he would drop out of the Democratic primary race against establishment-backed Sen. Arlen Specter, the Obama administration said in a report released Friday morning.

But the report, by White House Counsel Robert Bauer, concluded that "allegations of improper conduct rest on factual errors and lack a basis in the law."

United States Code Sec. 600. Promise of employment or other benefit for political

    activity

Whoever, directly or indirectly, promises any employment,

position, compensation, contract, appointment, or other benefit,

provided for or made possible in whole or in part by any Act of

Congress, or any special consideration in obtaining any such

benefit, to any person as consideration, favor, or reward for any

political activity or for the support of or opposition to any

candidate or any political party in connection with any general or

special election to any political office, or in connection with any

primary election or political convention or caucus held to select

candidates for any political office, shall be fined under this

title or imprisoned not more than one year, or both.

    AMENDMENTS

    "fined not more than $10,000".

    1976 - Pub. L. 94-453 substituted $10,000 for $1,000 maximum

    allowable fine.

1972 - Pub. L. 92-225 struck out "work," after "position,",

inserted "contract, appointment," after "compensation," and "or any

special consideration in obtaining any such benefit," after "Act of

Congress,", and substituted "in connection with any general or

special election to any political office, or in connection with any

primary election or political convention or caucus held to select

candidates for any political office" for "in any election".

    EFFECTIVE DATE OF 1972 AMENDMENT

Amendment by Pub. L. 92-225 effective Dec. 31, 1971, or sixty

days after date of enactment [Feb. 7, 1972], whichever is later,

note under section 431 of Title 2, The Congress.

  5. Absolutely.

I don't hate people based on where they're from, what they look like, what gender they're attracted to, or what they believe.

Their actions, on the other hand, are a totally acceptable basis for wanting to see them weeping in a bloody pile on the floor of a prison shower.

    Absolutely, 100%
