    WOUNDED IN ACTION

    Staging Location:

    1754 North Union Street

    Fostoria, Ohio

    05 November 2009@1515hrs-(3:15PM)

District #1 Ride Captain Jon Williams is assigned this Welcome Home Mission. Please follow his instructions and remember to bring your 3x5 American Flags. In the event of inclement weather come in you’re cage.

As most of you know when Shane was injured he was a Corporal in the US Army, he has since been promoted to Sergeant. He was released from Active duty this past week and is returning home. Since September 30 2006 Shane has went through a lot of rehabilitation and his now returning to Civilian life. As the picture above show from that first Christmas at home after there new home was completed Shane and his mother “Cindy” are truly a “SPECIAL TEAM together against the world” as Cindy had told the Stars & Strips in a recent article.

There were several organizations involved in making their new home a reality and the Patriot Guard Riders played a small part in making that happen. Now, as Shane makes the transition into civilian life we need to be there when needed for him and his mother. I want them to know they are not alone together against the world. We the Patriot Guard Riders will be there for them.

To Cindy and Shane, thank you so much for letting us show our appreciation for serving our country and letting us be a part of your lives.

  4. I was where your sig pic is in April. There's some good words in your sig. Thanks for the welcome.

I was there for the Tea Party the weekend of Sept 11. I never get tired of watching the Changing of the Guard. I always get choked up too.

  5. We had stopped our convoy in the middle of some dirt back road, I forget why, but then this farmer and his flock of sheep just cut through us right in front of my M88. I thought to myself "WTF is going to happen in the next 20 seconds." I ducked down a bit so just my eyes were out of the hatch so I could watch him and his sheep, looking for anything out of the ordinary. Nothing happened, he just went on his way like we didn't exist and he had done this many times before.
