But, the previous 30 or so years didn't keep up with inflation, so I've heard that when bringing inflation into the picture, gas is still cheap at $4.00 a gallon. I'm too lazy to find out how accurate this is, but it's what I've heard...

Run the shit out of it for a couple tanks of gas, then re-evaluate. When mine sits for a couple months, it acts that way. I run it for a while Couple hundred miles, at least) and re-adjust, then it's all good! Different beast all around! It sounds like the VF (VFR started in 86) needs the carbs cleaned and sync'd. I have a VF500, and I have been through this! This issue sounds a bit different, more like it needs the pilot screws tweaked. I think a RPM hang is is rich, I can't remember for sure.

Sam's club. I forget how much they were, but it was a LOT less. Well, I think the price IS higher, but you get 6 or 8 brush heads. I bought the Triumph there, too, it was around $100, BUT there are 2 brushing units in there! One for me, one for the wife. Only one charger though. Before I got the triumph, I had the Vitality, which is their $30 unit. I used it for about a year, and now the Triumph's has about a year and a half on it with no battery problems.
