Maybe. I get a lot closer to using up the bike on group rides, where I can follow and learn, and have the someone there in case I really screw up. I ride closer to 80% of my abilities on group rides, compared to about 60%70% whne out by myself, on roads that I don't know all that well.

At least you're not starting threads thinking that you need a liter bike. Next thing you know, he'll be out looking at booooosa's! But what do I know, I have a 250 and a 500, and don't use all they have to offer.

Yeah, Llumar (a L's for some reason) is the best I've seen. I wish I wasn't so terrible at doing window tint. I need to get mine removed and re-tinted. The crap that is on it (was there when I got it) is turning purple, and is bubbling.

Jizzbot, you forgot the part of being on so many (4or so) good group rides.

You can't beat the low end power that a strong V8 has. Could always put a procharger on it. Turbo's on a V8 would be a bit tight in an S series.

Winter project coming up! I'll start a thread later and people can list destinations that they would like to hit, then we can come up with a route! I'm thinking of doing it as a long day, but we can see what works out!

They're still around. I see them every once in a while. Could always build one! Buy a 4X4 blazer, drop it, AWD t-case, then whatever for the engine! A strong V8 would make it more fun than the turbo. I had the engine out of one a few years ago for a piston, and I wasn't all that impressed. In their day they were fast, but not so much anymore. The ECM code for the Sy/Ty is some of the best ODB1 stuff GM has for performance. Quite a few have used it for the base for their custom code, running boosted V8's, and so on.

Truck. Just about any older truck has a pretty good aftermarket parts availability. So many options of what you can do, too. Lower it, pro-street it, restore back to stock, 4X4 lifted, etc...

The ghost town tour is a cool idea! Someone can print out some of the info on forgottenohio.com, and plan a fun route between the places. I'm sure there would be many other things along the such as what the OP posted, as well. Is this something to plan for next spring, or yet this year?

We've got a couple years before tha braces are going to be needed. The bad thing (financially) is, we have another kid showing up in June.
