  1. Yeah, about that... Welcome to the madness!
  2. I have to make up for the lack of acceleration my 250 provides by going faster through the corners. I don't go faster than I can handle though. There have only been a couple times I have come close to getting out of my comfort level of cornering speed on group rides, and one was because a bike went down a couple bikes in front of me, and I didn't know why the grass and dirt were flying in front of me until I was past it.
  3. As they have said, they will not leave you behind. If it's like any other ride I've been on down there, they will wait to make a turn, or pull away from a stop until everyone has caught up. Ride your own ride, and if you're holding anybody up, wave them by. Sad to say, but both rides I've been on down that way have had bikes go down. Both were riding a bit over their heads, or at least for the conditions. Only one was a Katana, ironically enough.
  4. I'd like to make this ride, to meet some of the northerners. I'm not sure if I can pull it off though, especially if I go on the CSBA/Brian Kinney ride this weekend, as that would be 3 weeks in a row. I'll also have to see how the 250 is feeling.
  5. Tehy probably don't want any of us from Central Ohio mucking up their ride... Except for MJ maybe...
  6. Nice! I would imagine that the fact that it was his dad's bike makes it more of a big deal. Sometimes, the back story on something is much more than the result of a project.
  7. After meeting you, I have to agree. I've heard your Indy story... 'nuf said. I saw a few old school Kawi's on the way home Sat. I was going through an area of suburban Columbus that seems to have more of one certain ethnic group, as well... Asshats were never cool. Don't be an asshat.
  8. The BRC is a course that is developed and put on by the MSF. I think what you want to know is the difference between taking it through Motorcycle Ohio, or a third party, usually a dealership. I would say that someone that needs more time, is timid, or even scared, etc should pay to take it through a third party, as they usually have smaller classes, and are able to devote more time to an individual to help them through it. If you are already riding, and aren't scared of the bike, go through M-O and save some cash, and still have a very good learning experience.
  9. And quit picking on the Ninja 250 riders!
  10. I don't believe him. He was probably too busy looking at the clouds, since he probably had the front wheel in the air at the time.
  11. I think I believe that. Oh, wait! I did see you one time on a portion of a ride! Was that yesterday? I thought you seemed to be going awful fast by everyone. Once the rain cleared, the pack got up to around 40, then you flew past, I thought you were only doing about 60 though. That's a little less than my Ninja 250 will do! Theoretically, of course. I have no need to prove that theory.
  12. Oh, don't forget that good looking out that Casper did for that hardley rider in Carrol. "Dude, you dropped your helmet", just as he was taking off.
  13. The 2-fiddy turned 7k just a few miles before the first columbus meat spot. I think my round trip was just under 350 miles. Casper had to be the shortest ride of anyone. Well, anyone that actually went, that is.
  14. How about DTC style, and make it a super long name? Fonzie's Slab-tastic West Vriginia Waterslide Rainy River Voyage You had to be there to get it, and you weren't.
  15. Hey now, just because I'm friends with Josh doesn't make it a case of giult by association.
  16. Chevy, know how I know you're ghey?
  17. Glad to hear all of you had a good, and productive day, while all of us headed to WV got SOAKED! I hope I can make it to the ride next week, to hang out with everyone!
  18. I can vouch for that one. He was pulling away from me while I was running 7 under on the DTC ride today. I have to get up to speed limit a couple times to catch up! Livin on the edge! Not surprising at all... That 1000rr doesn't like to go much over 45, does it?
