Get a fuel injected bike like I did, it solved all the carb problems.

There was some talk at one time of someone putting EFI on older bikes, such as my VF, I'll have to see if I can dig up where I was reading that. Thanks for the reminder....

I would bet the tubes are fine just get a dynajet jet kit and put that in .. should fix your problem

Yeah mid range pretty much. I thought about a set of used carbs but Id rather just get new so for like the emulsion tubes I know are okay. And buying a set of carbs would be a crap shoot on the needles Id guess.

AND..seeing that the side draft emulsion tubes are a common wear issue (from what you and Mike were talking about) used carbs might be just as worn.

I'm gonna take a guess here and say that before you got them all cleaned out, it was running lean from being all gummed up, and needed that extra fuel. Now that the rest of the carbs is working right, it's too much fuel. Maybe once this is ironed out, you'll get better mileage! I'm hoping that once I get my bike back together and everything RIGHT, the same will happen!

Seriously though, backing up the MAC stuff should be easy enough, since there aren't very many programs that run on a Mac (without a wimdows VM running) that putting it back top original will be close to what you'd have anyway.

I call B.S. on this Prius in Cali. Guy did not have the frame of mind at 90mph to simply click the car in neutral yet he was able to call CHP and drive around till they caught up with him and instructed him to "use the brakes". Sorry, I just ain't buying it.

He should NOT have a license. Sorry, but if you can't be in control enough to put the thing in neutral to get it back into control, you probably shouldn't be driving. I hope he was calling 911 from a handsfree device, if not, said license should be revoked.....

Head out east in a few weeks and a buch of us will be out. We dont come into Columbus to ride, not into the straight roads. Tons of good twisties out here but it'll be another week or two. Gotta get a few good rains before most of us will come out, it washes the salt and sinders off the road. A blind corner covered in sinders can really ruin your day.

So give me a shout after a rain or two.

Sooo.. You're only locked out of bikes while on WC? Does this mean there's hope for you at a later time? Play along with them while you have to, then get a bike first chance you get. Riding a bike (for transportation, general cruisung) doesn't take THAT much more physical ability than driving a car (unless you're tearin up the twisties) so it shouldn't be an issue, but they make the rules.

I understand if you don't, or just can't respond to the questions I pose, I just thought maybe there's hope for the future!
