  1. 78!? what OS? XP/Vista/7?

Haha! I just went to taskman and I have 110 processes running!

This is on my laptop, and it run surprisingly well!

Have you reset your unplugged your router lately? I usually power down my network devices once a week. And every so often I'll factory reset the routers and re-upload the network configs.

I never think to do this. I need to reboot my router.

  2. I have a much shorter distance to travel to get to work than most on here, but some of the worst when it comes to them getting cleared. I got both cars out of the driveway.......Then Icame in to work.

  3. I just drove home. Whiteout conditions, can't see the roadway. If you don't already know where the roadway is, you're destined to run off the road or hit something. People are behaving well though. It's slippery even for a 4wd Jeep. Got some grip, but was sliding a bit more than I expected. Don't expect turns to go as planned, heh...

What does 4wd Jeep have to do with anything? Not referring to you Tom, but MANY idiots with 4wd vehicles think they're superior. Not the case on the street. I do as well, if not better in my Intrepitank. Except for the return trip from Sam's Club, with the underside bottoming out on the ice that's STILL in the center ot the lanes on the roads out here....

  4. at least you don't have a wife bitching at you to shovel the damn driveway and then go to your mother in law's and do the same...

My wife just had to have her car out to go to WORK after the first BIG snowfall (white death v1.0). No demands to get the driveway cleared or anything. Fortunately, as I was getting my car out that evening, our neighbor came by with a skid loader and cleared it all out for us! Shoveling minimized!

  5. Keep in mind, its NOT a tax increase.

Just revenue enhancement for OHIO HIGHWAY PATROL.

    What bullshit.

From what I've read, the money goes to the OSP, not city. Not that's any better for that....

I learned a loophole to get out of the fee (from my helpful DMV worker, a girl I went to school with). She said just ditch your plate and apply for a new one with your title in hand (not your registration), and you get out of the fee.

They're not supposed to tell ya that, btw, but I did it and it works.

That was the approach I planned on taking when I decide to license my Camaro again, after getting some things fixed.

  6. The 2 fiddy, I couldn't pass up the deal. Craigslist, under $1k, started riding it, and I've put less than $500 more into it to get the fairings back on it. A few months later, was looking on Craigslist again, found the 500, paid $500, put less than a $200 in it, including the gasket set I'm about to order for it.

I started riding bikes late (36), because I wasn't ready for it, and would have been less than responsible about it. When I was a kid in the mid to late 80's, my cousin had a couple interceptors, one was a 500, I think the other was a 750. I've always like the looks of them, and the more vertical riding position. The 2 fiddy is a decent riding position for me, but the seat gets uncomfortable pretty quick. This year, I plan to ride the Interceptor everywhere, and the 2 fiddy is for the wife.

  7. There are much larger forums running on vBulletin 3-ish. photography-on-the.net is running 3.6.12 and they have 232,665 members, and about 800k threads! In feb of 2005, the costs of running that site were around $6k a year, according to the founder!

I'm basically saying, if it ain't broke, don't fixi t!

  8. Yep same offerings the wife and stopped there last week and got my usuall garlic parmesean tenders and fries........ still taste the same and still provide the 2 day aftertaste to add flavor to whatever else I eat

:nono: Garlic parmesean? Turn in your man card.... Somthing hotter please....

  9. 2002 SHOULD be the new body, more of a midsize than the previous generation. They used the 4.2 inline. They're pretty reliable. We have a few customers with these (Trailblazers, which are the same thing) and don't see much going wrong with them. Tie rod ends, wheel bearing assemblies, a few misc issues that are present across the GM line (evap vent valve, etc...)

Transmission is a 4l60E, been around for 20 years prior to that model year, lasts a couple hundred thousand most of the time, engine seems to be really durable. There's not much I can knock on with them, as long as it's in good shape, well maintained, and not been beat to hell.
