  1. It is snowing a bit now, and it is the cold snow, which is not as good as the warm snow.

We have 8 or so inches here. It's about the best! We had the "warm snow" earlier, packs really nice, and it's tunring into the "cold snow" powdery stuff. Should be nice for snowmobiles and stuff!

  2. I always liked the vette rallys on GM muscle cars, but I grew up with a dad who owned several 70's vettes. I have an appreciation for things "old school".

I love them too, I even have a set of them sitting in a friend's garage, but they just don't look right on a thirdgen, unless it's just a base model.

I'm looking for a larger "replica" of the first thirdgen Z28 wheels. I see that they're using something similar to what I want on the new Camaro, but no idea the size, or if the bolt pattern is the same (doubt it.) I really only want 17's, I think.

  4. I see what he's saying now, screenshot included.

Also interesting note while trying to troubleshoot it... some smilies are .net some are .com

Notice, the .net forwards to .com. Maybe they're "lost" on the .net side? I'm not sure how it's all configured, nor do I want to even go there, but that is some useful information, most likey.

  5. I haven't noticed it with smilies, but for some reason, 614 paintworks logo on the right side of the home page is being intermittent. It was coming up with a red "X", I clicked on it and went back using the back button and it was ok. Refresh and it was gone.

I'm thinking it has something to do with the need to upgrade that Casper was talking about before. We're taxing the server!

  6. We've recently started carrying a new brand called fierce tires. Cheech has a set on his Scion xB and says he like them. They're made at the Cooper plant in Findlay Ohio, according to the rep I talked with when ordering them, and they appear to be a performance offshoot from Kelly-Springfield. www.fiercetires.com is their website, if you're at all interested.

The Kumho's that Jagr mentioned are good, also. They have the ASX's I think, that are godd as well.

  7. What I don't get is people that go to professional tax preparers, when (at least from my experience) all they do is ask you the same questions and click the same buttons you would've if you would've been in your underwear at home - and they charge you for it.

Considering that being a tax consultant is a low-wage seasonal position at many companies - should tell you something about the level of expertise needed to file your taxes. That's not to confuse these people with tax attorneys or CPAs, but these are the types of people you Mr. John Q Public is going to see at your local "professional tax preparer".

I get all of what you're saying, and cannot disagree. I don't have the time or patience to download, install, and enter the info into all 3 programs. Actually, we use a lady that's been doing taxes for my wife's family for years. She charges about what it would gost for the software, we make a visit to her and visit while she enters it all into her program, enter our bank account info, and in a week or 2 see the money show up in the bank.

I thought about getting into the tax prep racket, but there are just way too many tax laws to worry about, and record keeping, etc...

A former co-worker always does them for friends and family, uses turbo tax, but just prints them out to be mailed. I think he does it free, or people just give him a "gift" or something for doing it. He did mine for a couple years and wouldn't take anything for doing it.

  8. The one here sucked anyway and only drunk hog riders went there thats why it took 2 months for yall to even notice it was closed

 I was only there once and never went inside! It was for the Ohio Fallen Heros Memorial poker run last year.

  9. I do that to give you techie enginerd geeks more of a challenge. ...... Read some posts, bunch of red x's were da smilies be got to post a reply and look at all da smilie's in da list half are blank or x's der ya happy Hammer ? ...... I'd put a smilie here but it no werkie

Damn! Hammer down on the typing cat!

  10. Finishing the basement! Tried for a Man Cave but the wife says we need a family cave instead. Doing the majority myself but will probably contract out the drywall finishing. Never could figure out the touch to get that crap smooth. Anyone on here know anyone that can do drywall?

    Moose?

  11. And there you have it. When you can go down the street and get 3 cans on special for the price of one there, you know your business model is deeply flawed.

And $7+ mixed drinks? This ain't Vegas, nor is it NYC.

Unless they have something unique ot offer, which it sounds like that was a no.

$7 mixed drinks could be pulled off in a classy, maybe downtown, establishment. That hole? No way!
