  1. Wouldn't want the sheep to get jealous!
  2. Wow! Lot's of good info here! I've never been a runner, actually hating it. After reading through this thread, and about the c25k plan, I might actually give it a try! I think what I've always hated was the pain I would suffer from trying. I am out of shape, pretty much always have been, and realize I NEED to do something. I think I'm going to download the podrunner intervals and give it a try. The doc says I need to do something, my cholesterol is a little high, and this can't hurt! I guess I've just been looking for a little guidance, and the c25k sounds like what I need. Wish me luck!
  3. Now that I look at the pics again, I see it's coming out from the middle, and might be from further up than the head gasket. Could be a crankcase vent hose leaking, or missing there, would be nice if that's it!
  4. That stain does not look good. Could be coolant or oil from the head gasket. Some Hon-Duh people might know better how much of an issue it is.
  5. Ya, good point. Besides, it's more of a showpiece anyway, as I already mentioned, how manmy miles would someone really put on something like that anyway?
  6. How many made it? When it's not so warm out, rain sux (even more than when it's warm...)
  7. Chevysoldier has one, I think it's a few years older, but they don't seem to change those units as often as the others. I'll mention it to him when I see him at work tomorrow, and maybe he can chime in on it for you, further hijacking Fonzie's thread (like that's an issue around here anyway )
  8. I don't know about the lack of a front disc, though. It might be a fun showpiece to have. It's not like you'd ride something like that much, anyway.
  9. I'd even own that one! The bars are a bit tall for my liking but nice otherwise!
  10. Awesome! Of course I'll be there anyway, since we know his family as well.
  11. Personally, I think if one is planning on being moderately serious about photography, and getting out of the automatic modes, they should start with the XXD series in Canon, or the equivalent for Nikon. I think the current model would be the 50D. That's my personal opinion though... Take it for what it's worth.... (ZERO )
  12. Ya know, in that case it's more of what you've gotten used to! I think this is a big part of brand layalty for many people. I use Canon, started with entry level film SLR, went to the Digital Rebel (entry level) and going to the 40D was very similar in how the menus work, but the layout is different, and is close to the pro line of cameras (1D series.) I like it, just took a little (not much, really) time to get used to everything again.
  13. Hey Likwid, can I PM you a ? I have? Back OT, I have Progressive, and they "say" the rates factor in the seasonal nature of riding in Ohio, and I think that's why they bill by the year as well.
  14. fixed Shoulda known they let you out that way for a reason!
  15. No, I just thought you were offering them! Enquiring minds want to know!
  16. Credit sucks. I don't want any credit cards. I've proven to myself that it's too tough to be responsible with them, and that the CC companies are (obviously) only in it for the HUGE profits they make at the cardholder's expense. FICO? Who is FICO? Is that your dog's name? Seriously though, NO credit is better than BAD credit. I'm trying to live to where I don't NEED credit, and I'm doing pretty well with that. I know somewhere down the road, I'm going to want to buy a house, and by that time my credit should be pretty much zero'd out. At that point, NO credit will get me further than the BAD credit I could (would) have with credit cards. We have a few things we need to pay off still, some are bad credit points, and we'll be on track to having it all cleaned up. I have heard that the CC rates are going so high because of all the people defaulting, they've having to spread some of the burden over to those that DO pay their bills. Socialism anyone?
  17. I'll rest my elbows on my knees which puts me in a semi-tucked position, when slabbing it on a straight-away for a while, which gets some wind off my helmet, also. Once I start doing any manuevering, I'll rise back up into a control position that is comfortable, and gives me the best control, which seems to be leaned forward slightly.
  18. No, that would be our Kawi 250 (although Iknow it's a little bit better than 70) I'm sure her 500 would do a LITTLE bit better. It seems like on that 250 the wind hits me just exactly where I don't want it to, such as KK, right at the bottom of the helmet. The double bubble windscreen did NOT make it any better, maybe even worse!
  19. You might want to get the brand thing figured out, as the controls stay kinda similar across the range within a brand.
  20. $20 for a happy ending from MJ? Now we're talking! MJ is a girl, right? Giving up on the engineering?
  21. I was wondering if anybody else noticed that! First and only post, and it's in this thread though?
  22. Mine, too, but I had to drive back home....
