Tested positive in the hotel last night. Bailed on the rest of the trip and just got home. Interesting, after 7 hours on the bike I feel better that when we left. Very mild cold symptoms at this point. Got an appointment for Praxlovid in the morning but if I feel like this I will probably cancel.

Highway pegs folded up and the foot pegs drag first, then you have another couple of inches before it gets to hard parts.

3rd. What I learned today was don't accelerate like a hooligan coming out of a corner. That just creates too much braking and mental stress at the next corner. Smooth is fast.

Nobody there. Clean run, and one of my better runs on the Wing. I was out of practice, but it is coming back. I have to figure out how to let go of the pressure of a group.

Spent the morning at the Biltmore. Was very cool. Then a modified version of Pauly's Route to get from Asheville to Cherokee. Temps are down, was a great ride. Very little traffic, even the BRP was empty. Finally got Deb to a casino tonight. I think I delayed that as long as I could. There was grumbling.

Made it back home. Kinda missed the place.

Gas is cheaper here too. Paid 3.47 this afternoon. That's like a 2.50 savings per tank!

Ok, always thought Asheville sucked. I was wrong. The Biltmore Village area where we are staying is amazing.

So Deb and I seek very good cool restaurants on our trips. For the last four or five years our favorite appetizer was from a restaurant in Santa Fe NM. It was BBQ quail tacos. The tacos have been dethroned. Holy smokes are these mushrooms good.

ALT 74 from Lake Lure to Asheville. Holy crap. Looks like a ton of great roads over by Lake Lure.
