    Got the Tesla!

That will be a 40KW model with nothing on it. I will bet one with 90KW and all the goodies is 80K or more.
  2. There is no money trading hands here, so there is no skirting of the background check laws. It is not considered a straw purchase because there is no money going to the original buyer from the new owner. Handy's or BJ's for said gift are not considered payment as far as I know. The background check covers the sale of firearms from dealer to consumer only, under federal law. Under federal law you can give or sell a gun to anyone as long as you are both residents of the same State and both are not barred from owning a firearm. If your wife is a felon then you are violating the law. Since she has her CHL you clearly know she is not a felon and is not barred from owning a gun. Since you both live in the same house you both live in the same state. Individual States can have additional restrictions. Ohio is not one of those States. There is no legal debate here. And there is no 'loophole' here. The federal government clearly intended to allow personal transfer of firearms when they enacted the law. Just because some anti-second amendment peeps label it a loophole does not make it one. The law is working as the legislature intended it to. Should it be fixed could be open for debate, but current statue is not.
  3. Wife and I use zero financing every chance we get. No reason not to as long as you are going to pay it off. If we didn't do that we wouldn't have much in the way of active credit other than day to day use of credit cards. House and cars are paid off...... Not going to get rich using it but it is worth using.
  4. Buy your wife's, borrow it and use it to rob a bank to post for yours. Send left over cash to me since it was my idea. Your wife should buy her own, but I can't think of any reason buying at two stores the same day will flag you.
  5. Yea, very few good roads there actually, and they are short and full of slow people. It would suck really bad really quickly.
  6. Tony, your OP was about the Demographics. The video is titled 'By the Numbers', and clearly about the Demographics. The primary point of the video was clearly the issue of 'Are Islamic peole mostly violent or mostly peaceful. The first five minutes of the video were setting up politicians and talking heads with their quotes (most out of context) so she could blast them 'By the Numbers'. For example she shows Obama saying 99.9 percent.....clearly mocking what he is saying. What we got was a montage of violence and her opinions. And a couple of seconds screen of the 'numbers'. So using her numbers, we see at the very high end 475,000 batshit insane Muslims that want to kill you. Let's round up shall we, to a fucking million. More than TWICE what she claims. There are 1.6 billion Muslims in the world. Lets round that down to just 1 Billion. See what I am doing here, I am rounding the numbers in a HUGE way in your/her favor to avoid arguing the numbers and to make the math easier. 1 million is POINT 1 percent of 1 billion. Obama's 99.9 percent, is easily right on the money. Actually in fact it is conservative. Obama was right, Hillary was right. Jesus even Ben Affleck was right. But you missed that, because you were focused on the violence in the video, it got to your emotions. She played you, and you went for it hook line and sinker.

    Good News thread:

Ahh you took my advice. Well done young lady.
  9. ABS on a bike is mandatory for me. It is that much better. Its a life saver.
  10. DAC is right, I had the same exact reaction. The use of video clips should have been replaced with a better explanation of the numbers and their source. Instead she uses the shock value of the videos to envoke emotions to get people to buy in. I find that questionable and intellectually dishonest.
  11. This is the social media/internet marketing person (aka spammer) for Masei helmets you nitwits. https://www.google.com/search?q=Luusama&oq=Luusama&aqs=chrome..69i57&sourceid=chrome&es_sm=122&ie=UTF-8
  12. Not looking good. Departure day is rain/snow mix. Very cold here when I would be getting back. Low's down there are in the mid 20's at night. Subtract another 10 or so up in the mountains.......
  13. I was not a fan of the S&W Bodyguard in the semi automatic version. The ergonomics were odd on the grip and the angle of it. Very odd. Lots of problems with the early versions, so be careful buying it used. Now, the 38 special revolver edition is one of my favs and what I carry.
  14. If you had it, you would be sure. It looks really bad after a couple of years.
  15. Engine black out? Did that year have the goofy clear coat over the engine that clouded?
  16. Yes I do. Appreciate you offering to get me one. Let me know when to pick it up. Prefer the 750 BS4. TIA
  17. Thanks, I hope so. That would be so epic. This is the case: CA-15-102540 DAVID A. BENTKOWSKI vs. MATTHEW TRAFIS, ET AL. Cuyahoga County Court Attached is a PDF of the opinion. That part is at the end as I am sure you know. Interesting line there too.... The court finds there were reasonable grounds for this appeal. If it was reasonable would they give costs. The suit was total BS, but very interesting to watch. The ex mayor of my city started this giant police investigation about people that said mean things about him online. Police said it wasn't a crime to call him an asshat. Then the whole thing went public...someone did a records request on the police report. He claimed that it was confidential, which it wasn't of course, and sued the city and got his hat handed to him. image.pdf
  18. Used to be true, back in the old days. Not a problem with modern weapons. From the FAQ on their website: Yes. All Ruger pistols can be dry fired without damage, and dry firing can be useful to familiarize the owner with the firearm. However, be sure any firearm is completely unloaded before dry firing! But if you are still concerned, buy some snap caps and use them when dry firing.
  19. This is from an appeal. Did someone get costs here: "It is ordered that appellees recover of appellant costs herein taxed." And if so, the dude that appealed (and lost) or the people that defended the original decision?
  20. Dry fire it everyday 15 or 20 times. Your mind will train itself to think nothing happens when you pull the trigger. Double up your ear protection, ear plugs with muffs over the top. And last have someone randomly load your gun with snap caps, so you don't know when click vs bang is coming. I had it bad a couple of years ago, it took all of the above and some time to get rid of it.
  21. ^this The 9 and the 380 just plain hurt to shoot. So shoot it enough to be proficient with it but no more than that so you don't develop a flinch. But that is true of most small pocket guns, there is no mass so they hurt. The LC9 is pretty small, light and similar to the 380, it is worth a serious look.
  22. I used to be an awesome skier. I could zig zag hop moguls like they were nothing. Chopper skiing out west...the whole nine yards. Then I got old and couldn't do it the same anymore, but I couldn't get my mind to stop trying to do what my body couldn't. Pissed me off so gave it up.
  23. We shall see, there is a cold front hitting Ohio that week sometime. All depends on the timing of that.
  24. We can call it the SnowButtapolooza. Buwhahaha.
