Correct. A White Hat hacker. A good guy hacker. Companies, governments that shall remain nameless pay him oodles of money to hack them so they can fix the holes before the bad guys find out.

Oh snap, Dave is stuck out of town for an extra day. Not going to take it back until Thursday now.

    Got the Tesla!

And the answer is, it disengages and screams. Had a truck kick up a 2x4 tonight in front of me. It saw it.

Hard for me to comment on a taller first gear without knowing what the old version was like. But in general terms I like a taller first gear for city driving..making right and left turns and so on. I certainly don't see enough improvement to upgrade if you already have one. You have an awesome bike as is, the '16 is just a bit more awesome.

There is a series of five or so videos on hackers. He is the last one, 'Hacker in your Head'. http://money.cnn.com/technology/superhero-hackers/

The fancy one with 84 different electronic suspension settings is very tempting. I may have to take one for a spin. http://www.asphaltandrubber.com/bikes/2016-yamaha-fjr1300/#more-99823

    Got the Tesla!

Ok, self driving needs some work. Had my first oh shit moment on the way to work today. On the turnpike, three lanes...in the left lane passing two trucks side by side. So the truck in the middle lane was moved over a bit towards my lane but certainly still in his. As I got beside them we hit a big left hander and he crowded me more and got right to the edge of the lane line between us. The car freaked out over that and disengaged auto drive. It screams at you when that happens. Since we were in a left hander if I wasn't paying real close attention and had a hand on the wheel I would have drifted enough to the right that I would have nailed him. And I don't like the way it stay's pretty much perfectly centered in the lane. When passing on a freeway, even just a car, I like to move away from what I am passing. Dunno how they will be able to compensate for that........interesting problem.

Dang man, Fox News has higher standards than you do. That has got to sting. http://money.cnn.com/2015/12/07/media/fox-profanities-against-obama/index.html
  12. "During World War II (WWII) the Ducati factory was involved in producing products for the Army – bullets, machine-gun parts and military radios. Because of this on Oct. 12, 1944 the state of the art Ducati facility was targeted by the Allies as a weapons factory. "Operation Pancake" bombed and destroyed the factory." https://ultimatemotorcycling.com/2009/12/21/ducati_wwii_history/

Macedonia, by that big strip mall at 82 and 271. There is at least one in every decent sized city. You can easily go all over the country stopping every 200 miles or so for a charge. They planned them to be near malls and coffee shops. It took it from 70 miles left in range to 240 miles in 30 minutes. Most Walmarts have them too, but not free and they are not the super chargers.
  14. America bombed the shit out of the factory because it was balls to the walls making military gear. They were bigger than they ever were and ever have been with over 10,000 emoloyees making shit to kill Ameeicans.

Military members are right winged, want to blow everything up and hate liberals? Well that is a shocker.
  17. But you ride a Ducati. Weren't they also pretty bad during WWII?

    Paris...

You can make the same point polity and professionally without resorting to name calling. A simple 'President Obama's response was weak, ineffective and lacked the strong leadership we need from a President.' for example. There is no dialog anymore, just name calling and yelling. YOU ARE SUCH AN ASSHAT.

While true is unacceptable for him to say that as part of a 'news' report. Fox should condemn him and ban him.

    Got the Tesla!

Yes. I learned to drive in a 454 Vette. I had a 10 second SS. This car still makes me go 'oh shit' when I stomp it.

    Got the Tesla!

The follow distance is adjustable, from 1 car length to 7. I find 7 helps calm the nerves, it actually quite far. One thing I noticed is if the car in front of you hits the exit ramp and slows way down the Tesla will slow also until they are way over. That is not good with people behind you. And the auto drive sucks in the city, too many missing lane lines, intersections and so on. It is not ready for the city yet but on the freeway it is really good.

    Got the Tesla!

And if you drift in your lane and get too close to the lane line it creates a fake rumble strip...steering wheel vibrates a bit and it makes the noise.

    Got the Tesla!

It uses three types of sensors. Forward looking radar to pace the vehicle in front of you. A forward facing camera to see the lanes and lane lines And a boatload of ultrasonic sensors all the way around for short range obstacles and things beside you. When I pull it into the garage I can get the front 1 inches from the wall just using the display on the dash with very little effort.

    Got the Tesla!

It is low, and the foot area is considerably lower than the sill along the bottom of the door..so your leg has to go up pretty far as you exit so you can clear it. I can tell you that I was watching the road and what was going on like a hawk. It is nerve wracking, fun...like carving a corner too fast. You also have to keep at least a finger on the wheel. If you don't it yells at you and eventually disengages. It sees everything beside you including bikes and people and won't change lanes if there is something there. I can see that on the dash, it has your car there and displays yellow in the area where something is next to you. Dunno about cinder blocks.
