Biker clocked at 383mph An Italian motorcyclist is appealing after he lost his licence when speed cameras clocked him at an impossible 383 mph. Paolo Turina, 26 - who also copped a £200 fine - claims the speed camera was clearly so defective the charge should never have been brought. "If I could go that fast I'd enter my bike in the MotoGP world championships. Valentino Rossi would not stand a chance. What did they think they were clocking - a jet fighter?" asked Mr Turina, of Cernusco Lombardone. "If the court rules the fine will stand then I'm going to send it to the Guinness Book of Records - after all if the court says its true then I should get the credit for this remarkable feat." Police claim the camera was working perfectly but said they suspected bungling staff botched the charge paperwork. The appeal court has not yet made a decision on the case.
Rechecked the weather and it is going to be cold. 37 degrees at 9am is cold enough to make a three or four hour ride pretty miserable unless you have full winter gear, which I don't. An extra 10 degrees would make a world of difference. I'm thinking I will miss this one.
Just kinda drizzled, not really even rain. Just had to watch for oil at the intersections and those painted on lines on the road. Got home damp, but not really wet. Looks like it's going to be this way all night, at least in C-bus.
If you bring in a vehicle from out of state they will inspect it to make sure the numbers on the title match the numbers on the vehicle. A formality really. You have to go to a special inspection place. Not a big deal but you do have to go to the main office of the BMV to get it done. They won't know or care if it is a two stroke. An Italian title might get interesting but as long as you are not "Importing" the machine rather just transferring your personal property you should be ok. Good luck!
I came awful close to pushing once. I put 2.6 gal in a 2.7 tank which was about 9 miles after going to reserve. Note the age of the bike, your mileage will vary.
